well, maybe..
anyone else a fan of the show? been a huge fan since season 1, but i\'ve NEVER watched the show as it\'s aired throughout the season (i\'ve always watched on DVD).
been watching season 5 for the last couple weeks, and just have one episode to go.
season 6 starts with a 4-hour premiere next sunday/monday. these first 4 episodes have been leaked in DVD format already (some FOX preview DVD or something).. while i\'ve done a good job of staying away from spoilers from these episodes, from what i\'ve heard, episode 4 is completely mind-blowing, and possibly the best episode of 24 ever. apparently, the end has what is probably the biggest \'holy
****\' moment in the history of the show.
so i have a decision to make.. do i watch this season \'live\' on TV?? my interest is definitely peaked with what i\'ve heard about 6.04. i just don\'t know if i can handle going a week in between each episode of the show, since i\'m used to knocking off 3 or more in one sitting.. on the plus side, i\'d get to see it in HD, and commercials wouldn\'t be an issue since i would just be time-shifting with the DVR.. hmmm...
so... anyone else on board?

im with ya dave! ive been watching this show since the end of season 1. if you have a dvr you are in luck. i would just wait til it has recorded the entire episode then go watch it so you can skip through the commercials, as there are plenty during 24 (~18 minutes worth). when i bought the season 5 dvd i couldnt resist watching the long trailer for the new season but i wont spoil anything for you. in the 4th episode for season 6 do you think jack is finally going to be killed? in all honesty he has become more of a superhero than a normal agent so i woukdnt be surprised. his heart has stopped numerous times, he has taken severe beatings and he was addicted to heroin for a while. oh well, cant wait til sunday night. nothing like a weekend of playoff football and 24 to get me through the week.

well, jack being killed would obviously be the
ultimate \'holy
****\' moment, but i don\'t see it happening, especially only 4 episodes in. no jack = no 24. i haven\'t heard anything about this being the last season, and it would be damn hard for them to carry the show for 20 more episodes without him. and due to the format of the show, you know that there wouldn\'t be any sort of \'flashback\' thing going on, so who knows?
but yeah, i\'m really leaning towards watching it \'live\' this season. i\'ll just start watching it around 15-18 minutes after it starts, and i should be able to skip all the commercials. this sunday and monday, i\'ll just start aound 8:30-8:35, and my time-shifting should be good. i downloaded the DVD, and i *really* wanna watch it after i watch the last ep of season 5, but it\'s not in 5.1, and that\'s probably enough to get me to wait until sunday.
can\'t wait for the new season so i can start getting back into the swing of things. i set aside an hour of prep time, an hour for the show, and an hour for analysis. yeah. big dork.
I always thought this show was a great idea but since I never saw the first episode I never watched the second. and so on. I\'ve been meaning to rent the dvds, they have them at my library. I saw a preview for the new season the other day, looks pretty good.
I have been watching since season 1. We all laugh about it here in the office. All the techno babble they say is hilarious. It makes no sense and is poorly researched but that is kind of what makes it 24.
My HOPE is they kill off Kim the daughter. She is just annoying and hasn\'t added anything to the show since season 1.
We tape the show and watch it after so we can fast forward thru the commercials as well.
I would say watch the show only because it is fairly popular and would be kind of difficult to not have it spoiled by a co-worker or internet thread etc. Although we managed to avoid spoilage on Lost. We watched season 1 and season 2 dvds to catch up to where they are now but no new eppys until like Feb or some BS like that
One of only a handfull of shows that I watch. Someday I need to see Season 1. Haven\'t missed an episode from Season 2 on. Great Show!
well, since there\'s so many fans here, you guys should get a kick out of
this.
kim is such a non-factor now, i don\'t really care if she gets killed off or not.. she was only in like 2 episodes last season, and only credited as a \'guest star\'.. though i think it sucks that she\'s still alive and tony, michelle, and edgar are dead..
maybe jack is forced to kill her for some reason and that\'s the big \'holy
****\' moment in 6.04. :lol:

yeah, though kim is some nice eye candy it would be great to kill her off. she is always getting into awful situations because of her own stupidity. maybe youre right, dave. jack may become a rogue agent because kim is killed. is it me or do the women on 24 create way too much controversy?!? palmers ex wife, waynes gf, season 5\'s first lady, michelle, curtis\' ex who worked in ctu, kim, etc. chloe is the only good one cause she doesnt leave ctu. maybe curtis will take on a bigger role this year.
