Did anyone catch the premier last night?
I thought it was pretty funny. I definitely dug the musical aspects of it....Got a few good laughs out of the show....It\'s no Lucky Louie though......
did not see it. worth checking out on on-demand?

i think its worth checking out.....its basically about an acoustic duo from New Zeeland trying to make it in NYC......There were 3 musical segments in the show. The songs kind of reminded me of Tenacious D style, serious musical composition yet silly lyrics...... "I\'m not crying, its just raining on my face" etc.....
lucky louie is the worst "show" used loosely i have ever seen in my life, but this looks good
JFC is sweet though
and DEADWOOD is like the best show of all time (drama)

I have to strongly disagree with you there........Lucky Louie is HILARIOUS. I liken it to All In The Family meets Married With Children. It is cutting edge comedy from the perspective of a family man who loves and loathes his family and life all at the same time....

If it doesn\'t have the All in the Family racist comments i\'m not watching it
I likened it to All In The Family and Married With Children because it does have cutting edge humor touching on all facets of life (a la the 2 groundbreaking shows mentioned above). Family, Marriage, Relationships, Race, Religion, Sex, Drugs, etc. are all fair game for the comedic content in Lucky Louie.
Hideously unfunny
Flight Of The Conchords or Lucky Louie?
Well, I was referring to Flight of the Concords, but if the shoe fits...
i think i spent more on lunch today at wendys than lucky louie spent on production for the first season
A.D. pwns LL all over the place, A.D. is a groundbreaking sitcom, LL is unwatchable imo.
But while talking about HBO, i think everyone can agree the best TV fight off all time was on DEADWOOD when Dan Dority beat the shirt out of Hearst\'s man, and ripped his
**** eye out! The only thing better than the 4 episodes arch build up was the fight itself!
I am never too fond of show premieres. I think the show does have potential, though it could start to suck balls immediately as well.......i will definitely be tuning in next week.....
regarding the production value of lucky louie. its a show about a barely middle class family living in the inner city. the settings/backdrop/props/scenes are insignificant compared to the witty, hilarious, and often poignient dialogue......but thats just like my opinion man......
Lucky Louie wasn\'t a great show by any means but it was worth a couple laughs. I much preferred Louie CK\'s standup special. the man is funny. Jim Norton is funny too, just the show wasn\'t all that great.
I thought the banter between Louie and his wife was priceless.......
Jim Norton\'s character was definitely hilarious.....
i like lucky louie...
but this is a thread about FOTC.
i checked out the 30 min special on demand the other night and thought it was much better than the season premiere yesterday. the special is sort of a mix between stand up comedy and an acoustic concert (Tenacious D style). i think these guys are great musicians, and wildly hilarious. they\'re comedy hits that slanted subtle funny. i really like what i\'ve seen so far and will continue to watch.
for newbs, i recomend watching the flight of the concords special first.
