Watching Jerry rip it up on the train and everyone just watching in amazement was worth the $$. This film has some of the most amazing footage I have ever seen of the best musicians of the time just havin\' a fuckin\' BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The chemistry between Janis and Jerry is awesome. Janis may not have been the prettiest woman but she was damn sexy once you hear her voice.
Janis has the best line when she says "Man nxt time you decide to throw a train invite me ok?"
If you enjoy "60\'s rock and roll you need to get this DVD.
It may have taken over 3 years but I\'ll be the first to reply to your thread Leith. I remember seeing this at one of the first bonnaroo festivals inside the movie tent. I\'m pretty sure it was 2003. Def a cool movie and a great way to tour!
http://joox.net/cat/2/id/1834389It\'s streaming but you can download if you want too.
I bought it when it first came out on DVD.
Pretty good stuff. I just wished the music wasn\'t interrupted as much as it is. They go in and out of the music in some cases interspersing video and interviews etc.
But overall very good movie and def. worth seeing.
Jerry + Janis + Rick = DANK(O)
favorite Janis quote: As we learned from the train, there is no tomorrow. It\'s all the same fuckin\' day man.
Jerry + Janis + Rick = DANK(O)
love that scene from the train w/ Rick singing, Jerry playing, Janis on backup.
Love when the tmn8r plays those Jerry tunes......nudge, nudge, know what I mean.
Just watched this again a couple nights ago. Love It!
