a. Jersey Girl was merely Smith showing that he can play the "hollywood game".

b. K. Smith is a much better dialog writer than director... his directing kinda sucks, but he can write a funny ass script.

c. Magnolia = more pompous crap. Although the scene when T. Cruise just comes off stage and starts that interview by taking off most of his clothes is pretty fuckin\' funny.

I don\'t think it would have done as badly if not for the whole J.Lo and Ben Affleck thing, that was what drove alot of people away from that, it came came out right after Gigli

Some things are as literal as they sound, no need to read too far into it. My buddy and his wife (ie my HBO connection) just had their first child. Some sundays they\'re too sleep deprived to stay up to watch Entourage.
