Growing Pains : Return of the Seavers
Saturday, October 16 at 8/7c

Starring: Kirk Cameron, Brandon Douglas, Tracey Gold, Ashley Johnson, Joanna Kerns, Jeremy Miller, Chelsea Noble, Alan Thicke

As the lyrics to the "Growing Pains" theme song said, "We\'re nowhere near the end. The best is ready to begin . . ." "Growing Pains 2: Return of the Seavers" finds Jason and Maggie Seaver ready to start a new chapter in their lives. With the nest finally empty, they have put the family home up for sale and are preparing to spend their retirement years traveling (Maggie longs for a villa in Tuscany, while ever-thrifty Jason wants to tour the USA in a Winnebago). But all that\'s easier said than done, as Mike and a very pregnant Carol, each with their own agenda for wanting their parents to stay put, team up to sabotage the move; while little brother Ben, now a realtor, needs the big sale of his parents\' home to please his boss. Meanwhile, Chrissie, now an aspiring singer, just wants to get out from under her parents\' watchful gaze so she can launch her career as a rock star.

Me Too....  Sylvester Stabone aka Boner BETTER be in this show as well....

Ever see the movie SFW?  There is a great scene with Stephen Dorf and Reese Witherspoon when they are held hostage in the back of a convenient store, and to get through the stress of the situation they sing the entire growing pains theme song...

classic show.

not to be RE-Dic-U-Lous, but where is my perfect strangers reunion????

Funny how Leonardo DiCaprio won\'t be in attendance for the reunion. You diehards will remember that Leo played the orphan when Pains was in the midst of its freefall, having been moved from Wednesdays to Saturdays, and used the ol\' child-charm trick to try and boost ratings (see Married With "More" Children). I wonder why he won\'t be there? I guess it\'s because he actually has a career.

My favorite episode was when Kirk had to write a paper overnight and his father used "reverse psychology" by calling him a worthless bum and such that it caused him to write the best paper of his life. Who knew?

The best joke: Kirk and Boner are trying to find somebody\'s address and Kirk says, "all I can find is a PO Box," to which Boner so wittingly replies," Yeah, if I lived in a box I\'d be PO\'d too." HA **** HA!!!

And I also do a great Alan Thicke impression, which would be great if anybody knew who either one of us are or if I could compliment that with an impression of an actual celebrity. Nope, I all got is Thicke and Gilbert Gottfried.
