Coming off the heels of a great Breakfast performance at 10,000 Lakes and in the hopes of a growing contingent of new fans in the Midwest, I have created a randon sit-com poll.  In addition, since Kyndkate and Gordo have dedicated their blanks and efforts to spreading the Breakfast tunes (and vibes) in the midwest, the poll focuses on two old shows that were based in Chicago:

Family Matters vs. Perfect Strangers

Am I forgetting any other shows that were centered around Chicago life?
Lobbying for a Kote>Beer Jubilee>Gypsy Girl>Prom 97>Vortex

Family Matt3rs- hands down. Balky\'s got nothing on Jaleel White.
Not sure what is gonna transpire. Regardless, we ain\'t gonna forget the gravy.

oh god, PS by a mile...

easily my favorite show growing up. there\'s just no touching the duo that was larry & balki..

though there is a little bit of a generation gap on this one - PS ran from 1986-1993, while FM ran 1989-1998..

family matters is actually a spinoff of perfect strangers. harriette worked in the chicago chronicle in both shows. carl was in it too playing a police officer. i guess after perfect strangers ended they decide to make a show around the windslows. A few seasons of family matters are pretty good. but it ended up getting very stupid about halfway through the shows run. it was good when steve was just a geek, but when they turned him basically into a mad scientist the show no longer seemed realistic and just got very stupid.

yeah, she was freekie looking.  the little wise ass from What\'s Happening was pretty ugly.

this thread has spawned a total 70\'s/early 80\'s TV conversation in my office.

I just remembered that I idolized Bill Maxwell from The Greatest American Hero when I was a weee chap.
