The second season started recently, and I gotta say I like it. I\'m usually not into British style comedies, but this works from me. I liked the cameos from David Bowie and the dude from Pirates of the Carribean thusfar this season. I think next week\'s episode has the Harry Potter kid in it as well, so that should be interesting. If you haven\'t seen it, I highly suggest checking it out On Demand whenever you get a chance.
i turn HBO off on sunday nights after ROME

sorry minor thread hijacking, how is Rome? I\'ve heard really good things about it, but haven\'t had the chance to watch it.

thats funny, i don\'t turn it on til after Rome is over.
ROME is fantastic if you are into that kind of history. it really follows the storylines very well. i love it. i def recommend seeing it.
Extras is an outstanding show, created by, written by, and starring Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, co-creators and writers of The Office, the original British version. Glad it\'s getting some play here. Never saw Rome.
I dont\' watch this but saw this on my "plog" from amazon:
Hollywood Reporter reports that HBO\'s Extras won\'t be returning for a third season. Instead, the hit comedy series will end with a special finale, the details of which are still being worked out.
Ricky Gervais and co-writer Stephen Merchant seem to have a penchant for ending things after two seasons, plus a finale. They took that same approach with The Office, the original British series that spawned the current hit show on NBC, and it paid off.
I\'m sad to hear it. It\'s a great comedy and most sit-coms can\'t hold a candle to it. Still, it\'s refreshing to hear about creators ending a show on their own terms, and not on the network\'s, which often have the most arbitrary and boneheaded reasons for ending shows. In any case, I\'m really looking forward to whatever Gervais and Merchant will have planned next. -- Dan, Amazon Screening Room
That\'s too bad. I really enjoy this show.
Love the British comedy.
that\'s too bad, but at least it stayed fresh
how much longer before the U.S. \'extras\' is on nbc?
From the RickyGervais.com news e-mail:
The Extras Christmas Special, a feature-length series finale, wraps up the Emmy-winning sitcom and will premiere in the US on HBO at 9pm on December 16. Its place in the BBC\'s Christmas schedule remains a secret for the time being.
A longer-than-usual trailer for the 80 minute TV movie will be released on 19 November - watch it at rickygervais.com then.
