What the hell happened to Flavor Flav? 15 years ago this guy was a central figure in Public Enemy, the most eye-opening earth-shattering conservative-frightening politically-conscious afrocentric revolutionary hip-hop group that man had ever seen. Now he does Miller Lite commercials and has some ridiculous show on VH1 called Flavor of Love where he basically makes an ass out of himself for 30 minutes. He is a clown. What the
**** man.
Where is Chuck D to knock his ass back into place?
I read Chuck D\'s blog sometimes, but it\'s kinda sad too. Here\'s this guy who was once the face of hip-hop, who did hundreds of interviews, battled the Supreme Court, and singlehandedly mortified half of America through word alone. Now he\'s just another guy with a blog. Pretty clear what happened here; the new huge record conglomerataes would much rather sell bling-bling than afrocentricity.
Flavor Flav saw the $$$ when VH1 came callin\'. Seeing as being revolutionary doesn\'t pay anymore....
Poor guy gots bills to pay.
He has about as many kids as a football team. Its pretty simple, had money thru artistic prowess, money went away, offered money to yell out catch slogans by a network that feeds off b listers lookin to pay the phone bill. Fuckin Vilanch.
I hear ya spoon...starting with Celebrity Deathmatch washed up b-listers are the in thing. How many TV shows are there now featuring washed up b-listers making asses out of themselves? At least a dozen. I guess the man needs some loot.
when they\'re young it\'s about art and anger and making a stand.
..... but like so many
.... bad choices
..... money troubles
.....IRS
the lure of selling out becomes more about survival.
I actually enjoyed watching him on the Surreal life and I thought that Miller Light commercial was pretty funny. But he has gone too far with this revival. He should have collected his check and used it to help finance Public Enemys comeback album.

our desire for variety has diluted the talent pool
I think he is the same person he has always been.
I mean in the early days before PE when he could be seen hanging with Eric B etc he was a visual. Dancing and dressed as crazy as he ever was. He was a persona always. he hooked up with Chuck D who might be the smartest rapper next to KRS1 and help to create 1 of the most influencial rap groups of all time but Me thinks that was mostly do to Chuck D.
Flava Flav and Professor Grif were pretty much the PR behind PE. They would do or say something shocking and it would provide attention for Chuck Ds message and Music etc. Pretty good marketing until it all came unraveled

It definitely was an entertaining show, and Flav made it fun to watch(I was hooked after the naked mini me scooter
**** in the corner the previous season). Which I guess makes me the problem, they wouldnt have him in so many shows and commershes if people like myself didnt watch. Someone said it up above that he should invest back into PE. I know there are a lot of fans myself included who would love to hear them do their thing again. Strangely that was whats really turned me onto music(NWA, PE, Beastie Boys, Run DMC) when I was a young lad. Did you take that pic Freddie? Looks like hes got a wad o cash and a bag o rocks. Classic

Is that bizmarkee in the background?
YOOUUUU! GOTS WHAT I NEEEEED. BUT YOU SAYS HE JUST A FRIEND. AND YOU SAYS HE JUST A FRIEND. OH BABY!! YOU!!
