see posts above.  this is why I didn\'t bring it up earlier.

So here it is.

Stoops moved to NC. This is putting a hurt on the band and he actually missed the last gig. It was played as a trio (guitar, bass, and drums).

All four members have gotten married recently.  Stoops\' second child was just born a few months ago and he has been spending as much time at home and NOT on the road as possible.  

The rumor on the Raq board is that Stukey (drummer) is tired of the road and does not want to tour after this summer.  

Management is a mess (but who\'s isn\'t right?). The band currently has two more festi appearances scheduled for the summer and no booked fall or winter dates.  Raq has always had fall dates up by now.

so the rumors are what they are.  The band is refusing to make a statement so we don\'t know much.  I am no authority but I am a little bit in the know, I mod on the fan board, and archive for the band, and I run the guest list/tapers tickets.  I have been trying desperately to get a statement from the band to no avail.

Well there it is.

I think this hurts the Breakfast, since they have no more potential to do a tour with RAQ, which in my opinion would be the thing to do. Of course they probably wouldn\'t do it anyway so f*ck it.

that\'s a damn shame... hate to see any band that seems to finally be making a mark call it quits... this past year they were really getting out there, making their name known and putting on some damn fine shows...  maybe raq can go ahead and book the gigs (especially the fests) and then just have the breakfast show up as replacements??...


on a separate note, i\'ve always wondered why the breakfast and raq seem to cover so many of the same songs (cult of personality, hot for teacher/van halen tunes, etc...).

kind of sux if it happens. they are a quality band and they are also really good guys! when a good band goes down it impacts the whole scene.

bfast and raq have always been pretty tight. I\'m sure both bands would be into touring together if the economics worked.

If it is true.. sounds like the perfect time to call up their agency and see if they are looking for another great up and coming band!!

Do the Bfast have an electronic press kit? because according to this, madison house only accepts EPKs. I\'d send the email to them but it\'s not really my call, if i had permission I\'d do it in a heartbeat.
