ive purchased and recorded music myself and posted in that thread because i wanted to share original music that i think needs to be heard. you just copy > paste > profit in mass quantities

i give a **** because i enjoy music and the legal download thread is one of the places i go to find new music i have never heard before. i would like to know what my friends/other breakfast fans are listening to right now, but its been hurtin lately.

Posting phish soundboards day of release is just a distraction from any actual discussion of the albums people are posting and its straight up music piracy. there are plenty of web sites out there for that, but .info is not one of them. if the download links show up on this site somewhere i dont really care, but i dont think they should be posted on a regular basis in that thread DAY OF RELEASE.

last time i checked phish still allowed audience recordings. why not post links to those if you are jonesing to share the groove so badly?

most of it technically is piracy but no other artists have been a problem the way phish has been having their SBDs posted here right after the shows happen. im just looking for any excuse reallly. we dont really have any moderators here to keep the site organized like the old days, so it makes more sense to me to keep that thread free of current tour livephish.

it wouldnt make sense to start a 2nd thread at this point when we already have one, but it would be nice to have a thread to share and discuss music without it always reverting back to phish with pages of people just shooting links back and forth and others asking for the show they are missing, thus ending discussion of anything even involving music.

zuke and alexi have made some posts in there and i will try to also. maybe others will too if the thread starts to offer more

1) i am for keeping them in phish 2011 thread

2) phish added $10 to the price of every ticket to cover the cost of a free sdbrd download with every ticket. that in a sense was acknowledging both the desire for and piracy of their boards. they are capturing their costs. i feel no guilt about this. with this in mind, i have spent $40 on phish boards this year, and around $160 - $180 last year.

do i have those 20 soundboards? no.

just curious. i know they added to ticket prices. but this year there are two different prices, LAWN and PAV. wasnt last year just straight 60 beaners for LAWN or PAV?

I don\'t give a **** stealing Phishs soundboards or studio albums.

They\'re **** rich and I\'m **** broke.

Also they owe me like $200 for Coventry, probably another $300 for concerts that have sucked since after the hiatus.

It\'s also their fault molly doesn\'t work on me anymore.
