"The Whalie Awards is an event meant to celebrate the diversity of New London, Connecticut\'s vibrant music scene. From rock to hiphop to Americana, the music scene in New London is chock full of amazing original musicians. Over 20 awards will be presented, with over 60 bands and artists nominated! Who will win the coveted Whalie Award? Find out when the event takes place on Saturday May 29th at the Hygienic Art Park at 7pm!

A select few of the fan-voted Whalies were awarded last night at The Oasis for the Whalie Awards pre-party....
and the Beards took home the trophy for Best Indie/Experimental Band and Best Video for Willow Tree Express!!
The full awards ceremony/presentations is tonight, with the red carpet shiz at 6 and the awards ceremony startin at 7...
The Beards are up for one more award tonight-
Best Single-Indie/Experimental for our song "Pirate Flag" that was featured on the New London compilation album, "Powers"
