Just saw this on moe.PT.
BUMMER!!!!
Vince was an awesome guy and a great keyboard player.
The couple times I was able to hang out and talk w/ him were always fun. He had alot of cool stories and no matter how pressed he was for time if he started a story he was damn well going to finish it!

I personally loved Vince\'s playing w/ GD. I know alot of people did not but as for me I actually loved "Electronica" Dead and he was a major reason for it. He was also the reason Jer brought back H.C. Sunshine and started soundchecking St. Stephen again. He got them to cover Baba O\' Reilly into Tomorrow Never Knows. Man what a combo that was. Victim never sounded as sick as it did w/ Vince. Man I could go on and on.

Well Jer loved your playing man and now you get to jam with him again.

Rest in Peace my Brother.

What is the cause of death? Is it still to be determined? Are there any surviving Keyboardists from the Dead, with the exception of Col. Bruce Hampton?

Tragic, he looks very young. I also believe he was still touring with his own group and was actually at Porter\'s last summer.
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

Sad news indeed.

Looks like Tom Constanten is the only ex-fulltime rather than guest keyboard player left. He was in very good health when I saw him last year.

Wow I never knew that.  I was 16 years old when I went to Highgate VT for what would be their last tour.  I drove there straight from a final exam for high school, and we missed Dylan. We made our way around the back of the giant crowd for the first set, and at set break, when the mass exodus for bathroom, food and beer took place we bucked the crowd (prob. pissing alot of people off, but at 16 I didn\'t know any better) toward the front.  I stood with my chest pressed against the wall of the stage for the 2nd set opener- Here Comes Sunshine.  I\'ll never forget it, and I guess I had Vince to thank.

Yeah there is alot that people do not know about Vince\'s influence on the band, Jerry esp. He was not really into GD when they hired him but once he was on board he consistently pushed for bringing back old nuggets.
Man if Jerry had not left us I am convinced The Golden Road was next.

He told the interviewer that he\'d never seen the likes of such music, friendship and spirit and did not know if he ever would again.
Unfortunately, he never got to meet The Breakfast and their Wild Pack of Asscracks!!! Rock on Vince!!!! And tell Jer I love him!!!!!!!
