Okay, so looking at what\'s left on the list, here\'s my thoughts:

What I\'d want to hear - Born To Run
Good possibility - Thriller
I would bet my money on - The Wall or The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway

The first two halloween cover shows were double albums.  In my opinion, the later two choices sucked.  I think that they\'re going to go back a double album (excluding Alive II because it\'s a live best-of).  I think that they\'ll do Genesis because if they did The Wall, they would have to reconstruct the live show that PF did in 1980 and that would be a beast in and of itself...

I also said the wall first off, but looking at the festival schedule it doesn\'t make sense.

Phish always does the album as a complete set. The wall stage setup requires placing the final block in the wall during "goodbye cruel world", the final song on disc 1 and a setbreak. Then set 2 starts with the 2nd "in the flesh?" (not to be confused with "in the flesh") and they play several songs behind the wall before completely tearing it down. To perform the show properly would require purchasing and shipping the stage setup from roger waters/pf, shipping it from england and training a massive staff to run it. Plus, you\'d have to remove all the wall blocks from the front of the stage before set 3. with that many people, someone would leak they were doing it.  I really think the wall would be cool, but I don\'t think it will happen.

Springsteen with bruce on stage is my current call.

Funny you should mention "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway"... someone I work with not even remotely connected with the Phish world mentioned this album to me weeks ago that he\'s heard this "was what Phish was doing for Halloween."  I just found it interesting to be in your final cuts...

I could be completely off, but here are my thoughts:

- Out of the 60 albums left, only 10 of them track in at an hour or more.  With the band scheduling 2-1/2 hours for the from start of the 2nd set to the start of the 3rd set, I think that it would be a let down if they chose a 30-40 minute album to cover.

That being said, here are my thoughts on the albums that are over 1 hour:

Hello Nasty - The novelty of covering the beasties is good for a song, but I think that it would get old really quick if it dragged on for more than an hour.

The Chicago Transit Authority - I actually like the sappy chicago, but the only song on this album I\'ve heard of is their cover of I\'m A Man.  I think that this would be a poor choice to cover.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Nice album, but I think that there are too many songs that would lend itself to a **** break that the porto potties would be overflowing with Elton induced **** and vomit.

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - This just feels to me like something they would do.  It\'s a solid 1-1/2 hours; it tells a story and doesn\'t need to include a break.

Electric Ladyland - I\'m wouldn\'t complaign if this was the final album.

Alive II - I like KISS and as much as it would be funny to see them come out in full make-up and costume, I can\'t see them covering a live album for this set.

Double Nickels On The Dime - Never heard the album or the band, so I\'m guessing that might be the case for a portion of the fans going.  Maybe that\'s Phish\'s reasoning, but I think it would be a major let down.

The Wall - This would be AWESOME, but I think that it would be too much to plan logistically, unless they had a second stage built and they performed the first half with the stage completely brick free and the second half behind an already constructed wall.

Exile On Main Street - God, I hope this is the album.  I don\'t like the RS and might skip listening to the set completely if that\'s the case.

London Calling - Same as Electric Ladyland.

I\'m sure that I\'ll be completely wrong when all the chips are laid down, but we\'ll just have to see....

Do they need the set to play the music?

Could they build their own set?

Part of that set is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... at least it was in 2008 and it didn\'t look like it was goin anywhere for awhile where they had it set up.

something about this comment really bothered me on so many levels.  first how could you saw the latter two halloween shows sucked?? The Heads one was ok, but i mean the velvet underground performance was so **** good, theres a reason they still play those songs and basically nothing from the other three.  To me, that was their best halloween performance.

Secondly, since when has phish been worried about giant undertakings?? They are obviously gonna do something special so to think that the wall is too much for them is nuts.  OH, and does it HAVE to be the original wall??? **** NO, if they do it, they\'ll do it their way just like they always have.  there are no rules that they must abide by.
