Phish is booked for Friday October 30th and Saturday October 31st at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.  You heard it here first.

My roomate works with a security guard for the venue and he said Phish is already booked for 2 nights, but they wont announce it officially for a little while.  This weekend I had herad some rumors, looks like are true.

Im going to talk to Francis at Red Square NOW about getting the breakfast booked post show for halloween, since the second the official announcement is made other bands will jump all over that.

could be huge. good luck there, numbers. make us proud.

Do it up DS.  This would be a great, great day in many lives if it comes together.  On paper almost as good as12/31/03 Madison Square Garden Phish > Tobacco Road Breakfast, but who knows, maybe it ends up even better.

Alright, so I got tickets to Alpine Valley!

Now the question of how I get there from CT:

Do I fly or drive?

Driving:
16.5 hours each way
Round-Trip: 1944 Miles
 69.42 Gallons Used
 $132.10 Fuel Cost

Flying
 5 hrs each way
Round Trip Airfare per person: $320

What does everyone think?

I found flights from New York to Milwaukee or Chicago (O\'Hare) for $205 Round Trip.  You could probably get a shuttle from the airport to the venue.

Not to mention the money you spend in 32 hours on the road and the wear and tear it does to you mentally and physically. Flying is the way to go, imo. You might be better off flying into Milwaukee, I think it\'s closer... not sure though?
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Drive= You have safer place than a tent to lock your ****.  Can arrive/leave whenever you want.

Fly= Get jerked around on flight times, perhaps jeopardizing your necessary arrival time, possibly have to check a bag, possibly have that bag get lost.

If you\'re even on the fence, DRIVE.  This way you are the boss, instead of being at the airlines mercy.

I got stuck in Richmond VA last year with a canceled flight, and just rented a car and drove home. Wasn\'t that bad.  If you have someone to ride with, even better.
