for those wondering about the alcohol situation:

as long as you\'re not a complete tool about it, you\'ll be fine. I saw quite a few troopers patrolling, but did not see any of them bother anyone who was drinking peacefully. USE A CUP! I had canadian club and coke in my nalgene bottle and was not asked about it either, and you can also bring your empty water bottle inside with you (waters are $6 a pop, soda $7).

No beer sales inside, unless you have passes to the VIP tent.

Also, a band called codename is essentially opening for Phish for the three nights at Jones Beach. You may have heard of them opening for another band you all know and love.

See anyone or everyone this weekend.

No alcohol sales at the state park is so ridiculous, especially if it is a large amphitheater.  I thought NY was one of the states with a massive budget deficit?  They should cast those blue laws aside and get in the game to earn some additional revenue.

All the stuff you stated is true and worthy of being "quoted"

I am listening to Jones beach, 6-2-2009, Great set list!! I\'m ok with the band messing up a few times as long as trey is sober.  I\'m so psyched I went to the last 2 shows.  I have to give Jones beach an edge over Fenway.
