wow I am very happy right now. Ya\'ll are very lucky to be there, I didnt expect to be this affected by it, good and bad. Long live
**** live MUSIC!!!!
i thought you were on hiatus?
welcome back
haha, I will only post on this thread
unreal.
it wasn\'t perfect, but it was really, really **** good.
the band sounded very good overall. there were a few rough patches - trey struggled with bowie and hood - but overall, just phenomenal.
i don\'t know if the YEM thing was a joke or not. they were off before they restarted, but i suppose it could have been intentional. i REALLY hope it was.
my 94th (? i think ?) show, and i\'ll say this - best light show and best vocal jam i\'ve ever witnessed. the lights were absolutely stunning. it appears (to my untrained eye) to be generally the same rig, with a few new goodies thrown in. but it was incredible.
404 pictures taken today. recorded, and got HD video of fluffhead, stash, nicu, horn, and harry hood.
and i got my pollock.
it was a good day.
well after listening (no spoiler style), i know who to trust for reviews. i agree on all points. not a "best show ever"...i wouldn\'t even say it\'s a "great show" (musically). but i\'d still love to be there. be the crowd was unreal. the jamming just wasn\'t there for me, though...kind of expected it after a 5-year hiatus.
my highlights:
fluff opener - not \'94 style, but they played it
dvdsky - featuring a reasonable pause!
i didn\'t know
oh kee pa>suzy - played well...suzy jam was too short
NICU - always a highlight
train song - love this song
water in the sky - almost honky tonk...me likey
YEM vocal jam - song was meh...i don\'t think the false start was on purpose...and how do you
**** up the lyrics to this song (boy man god .... oh
****). i laughed
grind
my one gripe: where are all the ->s???

I agree with what you say.
There was plenty of music played but no real jamming and my personal preference with Phish is their ability jam songs out. Taking them so far out there that you forget what song they are playing.
I think last night was "business" tonight they will settle in and really put the throttle down.
Hoping that tomorrow is the show of the weekend.
the short pause was so much better in divided sky......i\'m off to the lot!!
