Igzy, been completely clueless to moe. what had made this show so great? Was it the song selection, the playing, the atmosphere? Just curious to see what made it so good. Glad to hear you had a great time, though, I expect nothing less. Did you ever run across Derrick?
all of the above. to me, at least, new england crowds are some of the most attentive and energetic crowds that moe. has. most other areas they can sell out venues(some they can\'t), but usually it takes a lot of people travelling from far to sell out the bigger venues they play. the boston/new england area is one of the few that they can sell the venues out on locals alone. the song selection is superb. any show w/ a rec chem and timmy(arguably their 2 best jams) tucker in it is a guaranteed great night. even the shorter songs they picked, were the tight ragers, as opposed to some throwaway tunes they tend to mix in there. 2 encores? w/ the second one being mexico, you can\'t go wrong. the crowd was hot as hell, rowdy and energetic, but not chatty or disinterested or anything. these people know their
****, and were loving every bit of it.
i\'m the first one to tell you when they mail it in or if a show is subpar. this show maybe only had a few real moments of \'holy
****\'ness, but overall it was a classic moe. jamfest from start to finish.
and yeah, i saw derrick w briefly as i was leaving. big ups for him going down, there should be plenty of people there that would be interested in the breakfast show at bill\'s next week. i thought there were a good amount of people there last time, this should be packed.
