Not sure if y\'all saw this, but Bonnaroo announced their initial line-up today with Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Jack Johnson headlining. I guess it\'s not too suprising with the way the festy has been moving recently, but Metallica, seriously?

BB King is playing though, and if they gave him a headlining slot I might have actually considered hauling my ass all the way down to TN.

I do enjoy some Metallica, Ride the Lightning and Kill \'em all. The black album isn\'t too bad either, but their recent stuff doesn\'t do anything for me.

Thank you for posting this. Metallica\'s new albums suck but they still rip it live!

yea thats what i thought. making bonnaroo a little more Woodstock \'99 and a little less Woodstock \'69. I\'ve also heard that last last year there was a bunch of bunk \'cid on the scene but have no way to confirm.

i think Roo is gradually changing the demographic of people they are trying to appeal to. its no longer a giant hippiefest like the first few years, but now more like a woodstock 99. who knows what it will be like this year. i certainly will not be there.

I went the first 3 years and it was a good time...then it got overcrowded, overpriced and the talent was watered down. Please bring back Allgood (circa 2000).
