ahhh, CBC.. one of my favorite b\'fast venues ever and i

i am personally willing to go to danbury at any given time, not many other people are.
While I would love to have a good music venue open in my hometown area again, I just dont\' see it working like Dave said there\'s a reason CBC closed in the first place. I don\'t see all you Staven kids driving up 34 to see these guys or other good bands, to hang out in this shitty town.
personally I am all for live music within 20 minutes of my place.
but within 2 blocks you have Tuxedo Junction and the Monkey Bar and all of them have live music. Also up the street (if it is still there) is the Main St tap house (is that right ?)
Just getting in and out of Danbury can be like running the gauntlet though.
But I mean what town / semi-city in CT has any real night life

You mean Hat City Ale house? they shut down once the smoking laws changed
again! and technically Tuxzedo\'s and Monkey bar are part of the same place (even though they\'re not) And Danbury just seems to be a hard place to get a scene going you wouldn\'t think so with a college right here. But the college radio station is all punk rock and emo, which is most of what gets played @ Tuxedo\'s and Monkey bar
If they push it the right way and attract the right bands in that larger section it could be great...I for one would welcome it back.
Derek Trucks is a good sign.

Yes hat city ale house.
I had typed that and then thought it didn\'t look right. I havent been there in a loong time didn\'t know it was closed.
But as the article states the biggest pain in the arse is finding parking around there.
I had some good times in Danbury and seen some really kicking shows but the fact it is so close for me has a lot to do with it. being able to get door to door in 20minutes is sweet.

Yeah they just closed recently, first you couldn\'t smoke in family restraunts then in restraunts at all then only in bars if you only had so many people working there that knew there would be smoking, then not at all. Which I still don\'t understand because Hat City had a cigar room in the back, and was a widely popular bar when it was the only one in Danbury you could smoke in.
And yeah parking can def be an issue, esp cause a UHL (hockey) team started in danbury last year and is right next door. But they said they tried to schedule the two places accordingly because of that.

Cheers to that! :chug:
