I just noticed bOAR is playing with Augustana (wait.who?) and Stephen Kellogg (:wtf2:) and the Sixers at Jones Beach August 3rd.

YIKES!!! :hscratch: :idunno: :poopself:
So I was flipping through the TV and I see OAR playing in an Arena w/ full production and also just realized a buddy of mine told me last week he was working an OAR show as a stagehand at SDSU\'s Open Air Theatre. It did not occur to me that they were Headliners for that gig. Now seeing this on the TV WTF??
When did this happen?
Is it just a midwest thing where they are huge? Anyone know? This is crazy to me.
I am a huge Dave Matthews Band and please do not associate O.A.R. with them. I hate O.A.R. with a passion--and mostly big DMB fans agree with me. They tried to tap the DMB fanbase with the same style or whatever, but all they do is show how shitty they really are.
That\'s it, I hate you.

hey, that took a lot to admit that. i\'ll continue with i do like one dmb song...crash.
okay, that\'s it. no other random music confessions. okay, wait, one more....in 1998 i proclaimed my favorite band to be Third Eye Blind but i was quickly reformed in 1999 with my first Phish show.
i dont think i have any other skeletons in my music collection........
Tray, I no longer hate you since you saw the light once you heard phish. Also, you must like the chili peppers given the amount of gtb shows you see.
they are basically a more pop version of DMB. personally, i cant stand them. when they came out a friend of mine who lived on my dormroom floor bought their cd and would play that **** poker song nonstop. the lyrics about i say ho you say hah or however it goes were so awful i had to leave the room anytime he put their cd on. damn, just talking about them got my blood boiling. its so sad to see bands with no talent make it to such great heights.
yeah oar sucks.
Well... I think they did tap that fanbase pretty successfully. I know lots and lots of people who list the two bands as their two favorites.
