Saw them at HOB a few months ago.. It was absolutely sick. The whole band is great and Karl D is my favorite live performer. I remember one moment specifically where Denson dropped into a sick groove with the deepest, most growling sax solo I\'ve ever heard live and the whole crowd went nuts. I must\'ve yelled "**** yeah" a hundred times that show and my girlfriend laughed by my side all night.

Did he do his 5 minutes of "chitlins standup" gavin? His nerdy racialized banter amongst a band of white geeks makes the funk that much more confusing and wonderful. I can\'t wait until they come back, or even better, The UNIVERSE!!!

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

Berzerk, aside from enjoying the Greyboy Allstars, there are a lot of projects related to this band that should be checked out if you\'ve never heard of them:  DJ Greyboy which actually preceded the Allstars (albums: Freestylin\', Land of the Lost), Karl Denson\'s Tiny Universe, Blu Sirkut (they are only related to the Greyboy family tree because all the orig. members played in KDTU with Karl D, so they are an extension of the KDTU lineage).  I\'ve also seen Robert Walter\'s Super Heavy Organ but wasn\'t as impressed because I see badass soul-jazz projects all the time in SF and the bar has been set very high.  There are at least a dozen+ more projects related to this band in addition to what I\'ve listed.  (I should start a Greyboy family tree diagram in Powerpoint)
