surprisingly great show last night @ the birchmere. it was a last minute decision to go and man are we glad we did! great playing from everyone - george porter jr on bass was amazing, jen durkin sang fire and did some pretty fun pigpen-esque lovelight stuff, kimock came to freaking PLAY!!!, hell kyle hollingsworth actually solidified the respect i garnered for him while watching his rothbury set... i mean, he was doubling kimock\'s lines all night while also adding some great rhythmic textures, hell, mickey said it himself, he was the weak link last night! it was pricey, but totally worth it!!

indeed... although, they did play mickey originals and an african song and have a couple free gigs scheduled.... but you\'re still right! :lol:

if my ticket hadn\'t been bought for me, we couldn\'t have afforded it. as it was, however... we enjoyed the hell outta it!
