he was one of the first people i ever saw live (along with jerry douglas, john cephas, albert lee and some others) and i\'d had a tape of his years ago, but long ago lost it. well, i just picked up his box set off of oink nd am reminded just how fluid and wild some of his playing is. some of it is tremendously cheesy (full on vibe solos, yo!), but most of it is ridiculously technical but glassily smooth.
