Saw this on ptmoe. Can\'t confirm it as I\'m not in college, but go nuts if it\'s kosher:
sourcehttp://www.ruckus.com
It\'s very much like itunes but it is completely free for all college students. All you need is to give them your college email.
I\'ve been using it for a month now and enjoy it. They have a good portion of moe.\'s albums, sadly no conch though
here\'s some of the replies/info on it
*doesnt work for mac
*the format is DRM protected .wma (you will only be able to listen with windows media player and probably wont be able to burn any of it.)
unless
*there is a free method to remove the DRM and therefore burn or re-encode the files for an ipod. look for a program called FairUse4WM.
I found the program
on this site, but I cannot validate any of this as I don\'t have a college email account and have not downloaded this program. Always run virus scans on anything you download. There is a discussion about the program
here.
College. Nice piece of paper. Nice debt.
Nice liberal spoonfeeding.
No frustration here.
(The evil dope pusher is cutting up a white gym sock, Formerly owned by Carl Zappa and still damp. The shredded sock will be placed inside of a high-school diploma And ignited with a sulphur-preparation... His first taste of big city life!...)
That\'s okay, wait...
(Now the next step of this operation: The evil corrupter of youth is going to take him from Step One, Which is a mere high-school diploma stuffed with a gym sock, To Step Two, Which is a college-degree stuffed with absolutely nothing at all. Smoke that and it\'ll really get you out there!...)
College students do not need free music what they need is to be studying so they can become scientist, lawyers, politicians, freeloaders is what happens when students and music meet. We do not need more musicians playing the devils music.
