let me start by saying that this isn\'t new. apparently it was first released in November, but i\'m just finding out about it now.

the other night at the hangar, we heard a great mash-up of Green Day\'s \'Boulevard of Broken Dreams\' with Oasis\' \'Wonderwall\'. it was really, really well done, and the songs fit really well together. i\'m a pretty big fan of mash-ups (when they\'re good), and i\'m a HUGE fan of Green Day\'s American Idiot album.

so this morning, i finally remembered to hit up google, and not only did i find the mash-up i was looking for, but i found an entire album done by the same dj - American Edit.

apparently he had a site up for 10 days before getting a cease and desist from Green Day\'s label.. but it\'s out there, and it\'s definitely up on that pink place with the pigs. i just downloaded it, but won\'t be able to listen to it until i get home. can\'t vouch for anything other than what i heard, but like i said, it was really well done.

i had a feeling this thread would bomb.. oh well..

there\'s also probably no way for me to make this post without sounding at least 73% homosexual, but...

listened to this twice through last night.. while i don\'t like ALL of the mixes, i do have to say that the entire thing is really, really well done. the Wonderwall/Boulevard Of Broken dreams mash is definitely one of the best on there. i\'m also a big fan of the Give Me Novacaine/Bohemian Rhapsody mash, and the Whatsername/Manic Monday mash is flat out awesome. :wah:

Summer Of \'69 is mashed with Jesus Of Suburbia right where it should be.. definitely noticed that the very first time i listened to JOS. i guess my only gripe with the project is that Homecoming was completely left off, and it\'s one of my favorite songs on American Idiot. other than that, i was really impressed by American Edit.
