I got a ticket baby! paid a hefty price, but MAN, ive been waiting a loooong time for this opportunity and i plan on enjoying every minute of it. not a dark cloud in the world can keep me down in these days of anticipation. My ticket is for the first night, i hope i can find some little kid at the show to shake down for his second night tix, as i am now broke! but who cares. PINK FLOYD BABY
No it\'s not Pink Floyd. It\'s just old Dave on geetar. Have fun though.
pfft...couldve guessed youd hate. closest damn thing ill ever get to floyd. i dont want to start one of those gilmour/waters debates in this particular thread, but Gilmour is one of my heros and from what i saw last summer hes\' still got it goin on, so i gotta be there for it.

No not hating man. Dave does put on a decent show but if you want a show that actually brings the PF feel, you have to see Waters for that. We\'ll see if Gilmour changes his stance on solo shows and gives it more PF than he normally does.
Hope so, as it will only fuel the PF rumors which I love to see.
i dunno bro, from what i saw of live 8, it looked like waters forgot how to sing and play the bass, while Gilmour tore through my skin as much as ive ever herad him. based on that, and my favor toward gimours contribution musically to the group id definitely be less inclined to see waters, although i probably still go:biggrin:
I saw Gilmour as a 14 yr old( my mom bought my ticket ) w/ my mom\'s best friend Sylvia and was expectin all sorts of PF songs, got like 3 of them. Totally bummed.
Hoped to see him again but seeing as this is his 1st tour since then and having seen Roger like 3 times in the past 8 yrs I am more of a Waters fan. Gilmour is great and I hope he gives the fans what they want but I will reserve my judgement on that until I hear some of the shows.
Waters is a lil
****.
Sorry Blackie I am just kidding; I know you were trying to avoid that.

I saw the Division Bell tour back in 1994 (I think), and it definitely had the "PF feel" without Waters. I was not big into PF at the time, but all everything sounded great to me.
What is the deal with Gilmour\'s solo arrangement. Is it just him or does he have a backing band? If he has a band is it consistent or does he change the lineup all the time?

Well it should have had the PF feel it WAS Pink Floyd.
I saw them twice in \'87 and in once \'94. All 3 times were great but I always felt I was missing something w/o Waters.
That being said Gilmour\'s solo shows are mainly his solo work w/o other Pink Floyd members in the band. You may get a PF song or 2 but that\'s it.
Waters\' solo shows include some PF backing members and plenty of PF songs. His set design and lightshow harken back to PF\'s glory days.
We\'ll see what Gilmour has up his sleeve but I expect it won\'t come close to Waters\' shows.

He has a band. Seeing as the last time out was back in the 80\'s he will probably have a different band.
<<<<< hopping on syd barrett tour

Alex- I\'m stoked you got a ticket- make Mikey G. pay for that
****- in ice cream nonetheless...
I have seen Waters 2 or maybe 3 times and he puts on 1 of the best concerts I have ever seen.
He does all the PF you could want as well as all the goodies from his solo career. I saw the 90\'s PF tour and Waters was more floyd solo then they were but I hope the gilmore show is all you want it to be.
Radio city is a pretty good place to see a show
Well it has been announced that Richard Wright will be playing keys on this tour w/ some PF staples in the setlist.
However, Gilmour has also said NO PF reunion is in the works.
NICE!!! thats gonna be sick! i think rick is the only one left whos remembered how to play his instrument anyways.
