What is the sound of Brother\'s Past?  Another group of space-jammers?

they are described as a band with influences that draw from pink floyd and radiohead, with and indie edge and ambient trancey vibe. (so I\'ve heard- never actually heard any BP)

Pretty much hit the nail on the head with that description.^^Other than the ambient...they are alot more upbeat drum n\' bass in their jams than ambient.  They do get very dub in some jams though.

And it is Brothers Past(no apostrophe) it isn\'t a posessive.  It is stating that all are interrelated from the past and emotes family.  It isn\'t somebody who has a brother talking about his past.

no not really.  just cuz you\'re not into that style of music, doesn\'t make it garbage.  they are a great band, and their jamming is amazing, drops my jaw to the floor everytime i see them.

There isn\'t really any crooked hats wooks at BP they only go to the Biscuits and sts9...but you wouldn\'t know that cuz you make your mind up about bands that you have never seen.

I know you\'ve seen BP open for the Breakfast...not talking about them.

if there are no shady crooked hat wooks at Brothers Past, then I am not going. What are the possibilities that someone OD\'s at a Brothers Past show?

Honestly, I have never had a bad time at a Bisco show. They people are always chill, the girls are usually hot and they can dance. If you don\'t know how to dance, someone is always willing to teach ya. If I had a buck to **** on, I\'d hang it out to dry and head to Porter\'s friday. But, I don\'t so...

BP reminds of the Biscuits at times, their jams are pretty damn good, if you can dig the trance. the vocals are brutal (in my opinion) though. i dont know, ive been looking forward to seeing them for awhile now just havent had a chance. one thing is for certain, dancing. from what ive heard their crowd is, for the most part, the exact same crowd as tDB. pretty sure theiyre from Philly too and the fanbase from tDB carried over into BP shows, due to high-level musicianship and top-notch energy.

(keep in mind at no time was i making a comparison to The Breakfast.. id walk a mile barefoot over broken glass to see TB before driving a mile to see BP.. yeah, Theyre Just That Good.)
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
