Kreutzman makes the best faces when he plays. Who is in the trio?
Oteil Burbridge & Scott Murawski
I have the 3/6/08 show w/ a Cactus sit in. Pretty good stuff. You all should go Billy does not get out that often and he is a SOLID drummer. Even when he plays trippin\'.
is max creek any good? i mean its sort of surprising to see that the guitarist from a *ahem* GD cover band *ahem* playing with two musicians of that caliber... no?
i\'m sure i am just underestimating his skills and undermining the band completely so please keep the flaming to a minimum. thanks

Scott is actually a great guitar player but Max Creek as a band just does not do it for me.
if you want to check out their first show, you can find it here:
http://www.scottmurawski.com/if you like it, their upcoming dates are on there, as well.
i recommend checking the "estimated" through "eyes" on the stage mics/board mix to get a good idea of what they\'re up to. they had very little practice going into this show, so they should be even sharper now. it seems like they are writing new material for an album, from what i read on higher ground\'s site:
Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band) and Scott Murawski (Max Creek) have joined together to form a POWER trio sure to capture the interest of the "scene". The musical chemistry Bill & Scott enjoyed at a meeting in Costa Rica facilitated by none other than PHISH bassist Mike Gordon was limitlessly compelling, and when Oteil joined the band shortly there after it was an obvious decision to pursue further musical adventurism. Currently working on a debut release slated for Fall 2008, KBM is hitting the road this summer where fans can capture the MAGIC of this electrifying combination at transcending LIVE shows.
Scott Murawski is one of the best session players in New England! To hell with Creek, his side projects are ser! I wouldn\'t miss this one.

i used to go to a bunch of Depth Quartet shows.... good stuff.

Max Creek really isn\'t a GD cover band. They might do A cover or 2 but I don\'t recall a heavy GD laden setlist the times I have seen them. If they did I might like them more.
