How did you miss The Who?
I understand the $$ issue w/ Clapton. I saw him in \'90 and in \'96
\'90 bought a $30 ticket, that same ticket in \'96 would cost $90.
I can only imagine what his prices are now.
If you can though you really should see him in person AND pay to be close. It is worth it @ least for me.

i missed the who cause i spent about twenty years with my head so far up jerrys ass that i forgot there was any other good music going on. as for clapton, i love his work but see no need for him to basically get rich from EVERY show. the only people that can afford him, are not the folks that i care to spend shows with.. i can just hear folks telling other folks to "sit down". it\'s not music for the people, it\'s clearly money for eric.

Anything involving Jerry... Grateful Dead, Grisman, JGB, JGAB... anything.  Also Jimi Hendrix (especially the Band of Gypsys) or Frank Zappa.

EDITED to include the late, great JOHNNY FUCKIN\' CASH.

Phish (considering my first show was 2000, i feel like i missed them)
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

In no particular order - but those in the first section would be MUSTS when they invent the way back machine:

grateful dead, jimi, janis, jefferson airplane (with Grace, though current JS:TNG with Diana and Darby before her are bloody good), doors, zappa, love (with bryan), pink floyd (with syd), beatles

Also rans:

Quicksilver Messenger Service, Kaleidoscope (both the UK and US groups), kinks, eric burdon & the new animals, Buffalo Springfield, The Jam, XTC, Fairport Convention (with Sandy Denny), phish, the who, small faces (though saw Steve Marriott solo many times), gong (with steve hillage on board), led zeppelin, rainbow (with Dio) etc etc

OK, so it\'s a very psychedelia based list, with a few exceptions, but...

Also am not adding the breakfast, cause one of these days.... :)

Who is love? I don\'t think I have ever heard of them.

I have seen a few \'The Jam\' cds lately, worth the listen?

The breakfast in the UK, all in good time. My fear is you guys might enjoy them and take them away from us. ;)
