• the minibosses are heading to the north east!!! these dudes are incredible musicians who play songs from nintendo games (you MUST hear megaman2!! heavy ****!!)

• I heard them a few years ago and they seemed pretty cool, but I dont think i would travel to see them open for a death metal band.

  btw...the Eagles of Death Metal aren\'t a true death metal band...more or less a joke. josh homme from qotsa plays drums. hmmm, kinda like dave grohl\'s new metal band, probot...minus lemmy.

• the minibosses rock out the intro/levels 1-3 of contra...very reminiscent of maiden at times. i downloaded a ton of songs they had on their site a few years back...mp3\'s but they still kick ass. if anyone wants to check them out, let me know.

• the NESkimos are pretty good...but nowhere near the realm of the MINIBOSSES!!! compare each bands versions of contra and megaman 2 tracks...no comparison. the NESkimos are playing the songs with a lot more metallic flavor, whereas the minibosses are a lot more authentic sounding (and a lot tighter).

• This is fantastic Nintendo cover band talk.  Where else do you get this?  Certainly not with the pop-culture obsessed people I meet in Manhattan.  This is quickly becoming my favorite thread.  I\'ll take your word for it bluefunk, and I\'ll go see the minibosses, but man, it\'s gonna be tough to outrock the Neskimos!
