surprise MGMT opener last night = blew my mind. although they played a short set, it was a GREAT one, Time to Pretend & Kids were the highlights for me !!
As for my first Beck performance, wow! I had such a blast! For starters, The United Theater is absolutely gorgeous, and our seats were fantastic, which aided in the enjoyment of the experience. i thought the band was great and played well... the show was really short though. But I guess for someone who has so much material the show would seem short no matter what....
He played chunks of albums which was awesome... Midnite Vultures chunk, Guero chunk, Guerolito chunk, The Information chunk, Modern Guilt chunk, with some randoms stuck in there. Highlights for me were Missing, Nicotine and Gravy, Hell Yes, Think I\'m in Love, Girl.... oh my goodness there are so many to list! But overall, a great, great show.
Anyone heading in tonight or tomorrow?
