Wow they are incredibly repetitive and boring.
Thats fine Leith. Go listen to eyes of the world for the 9,539th time since jerry died 15 years ago complete with the uber sick spacey noodley jam they throw on it. cuz that just never gets old or boring.

Yeah Yeah Whatever.
Jerry and his midi experiments probably influenced this crap more than I\'d like to think.
kind of a special day in disco biscuits history today. 10 years ago the band played a version of run like hell that may never be topped...by anybody. i hate to say things like this, but if you can
listen to the run like hell from 10/22/99 and not enjoy it, then...well...the biscuits just aren\'t for you.
this is the jam that got me into this band seven years ago, and i never looked back (big thanks to NickNels)

Oh
****! Didn\'t even realize that was 10 years ago today. I almost threw this on yesterday on the way from BAR not even realizing the coincidence. This is the song/version that turned me onto the DiscoBiscuits as well. I remember seeing a 35 min. biscuits song on Kazaa and decided to give it a try. Yeah, I suggest everyone to give it a shot. This is what started the madness.
I suggest listening to it straight through and probably under the influence of some drug or alcoholic beverage

glad i brought a 6-pack and my 4-foot acrylic to work today
As far as the disco biscuits naming their sound, they pretty much coined trance-fusion as their sound
When they played trance-fusion, it was bloody good. Now, the
fusion is all but gone, to be replaced by electronica. I wonder how long it will be before it\'s just Barber and a nameless guy on a sequencer.
And who, even tongue in cheek, anyone could mention them as a "super" jamband? "Super" is a contraction of superlative, which compared to the Dead and Phish, they are not.

Oh, for a return to this sort of stuff!
yeah i really got into the disco biscuits because of uncivilized area. their sound is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay different than that now. anyone remember encephelous crime? probably not.

I do! And it is good to see that Basis from that album still gets regular outings. As for UA, a few gems on that too, but the question about the biscuits for me is why haven\'t they ever done a studio version of their best song: Story Of TheWorld?

love this song too. the closest they ever got to doing that was the version they put on \'the wind at four to fly,\' a live album from the 2004 nye run. a very very good version. don\'t know how well you know the song, but the story from 9/1/01 is a great rendition also

Even though it is a rotating list, here are a few of my fav. songs:
House Dog Party Favor
Aceetobee
Basis for a Day
Mindless Dribble
Mr. Don
Jigsaw Earth
Floes
Aquatic Ape (Inverted)
I have been requesting MEMPHIS b/c that is a song Tim mentioned he would possibly play. And even though I like the song, it probably wouldn\'t be in my top 10

That\'s a very old school list, to which I would add the aforementioned SOTW, Bazaar, Bernstein and Grass is Green. To me Jigsaw Earth would be my second favourite track.
As for knowing SOTW, visiting the archive to increase my biscuits shows, any show with Story gets checked out. One of my favourite versions remains the All Good version from 2000(?) - no bass on that show IIRC, but it was the first time I has heard the song, so it\'s kind of special. I\'ve got Wind At Four To Fly too.
