Surprised this hasn\'t been started yet.

Black Sheep of the tourney (based off first games):
Democratic People\'s Rebuplic of Korea - Did anyone else watch how they held the explosive brazlian team in check for 60 minutes?

Otherwise, I am cheering for Germany...though I wouldn\'t be surprised if Argentina won.

I\'ve been following it pretty closely with some friends from work. Were actually gonna do brackets once they get down to the elimination rounds. I would also agree the that the Korean(North I think) did a great job of limiting the Brazilians... how about the Ivory Coast/Portugal game? That was another good one. The announcers made a comment to the fact of "Ronaldo would fall with a puff of wind to his back." They\'re such actors!... and by the way go Germany!

north korea, albeit played well against brazil ain\'t making it out of the first round with the group they pulled. surprisingly, i thought south korea is a huge underdog to make it far at the moment. i hope portugal can beat north korea and at least tie brazil so they can make it to the round of 16. and yes, i don\'t cheer for usa. portugal gets my loyalty.

Spain just went down 0-1 to Switzerland, which is huge for the rest of group H and whoever comes in 2nd in group G(be it Ivory Coast, Portugal, or North Korea).

I actually watch more if they banned those **** horns that sound like a swarm of bees... Most of the time, I get to listen on the radio and that\'s really annoying... I know it\'s their tradition, but it\'s really annoying...

agreed... I heard that ESPN radio was going to try and filter them? Guess it didn\'t happen yet.

i find it relaxing. and it definitely doesn\'t take away from my enjoyment of the matches. its one continuous hum, after a while, you barely notice it.

Yes, I cheer for and watch the american matches, I just don\'t think they will go far.

I am cheering for the DPRK (north korea) because no one else is, and I didn\'t expect them to be any good.

After (if) American falls, I will cheer for Germany...so here are my cheering rankings:

1) USA
2.) Germany
3.) South Aferica
4.) Argentina
5.) Brazil
6.) France
7.) England
8.) Spain

NOTE: I know **** about international football, so I cannot predict who will win.

My allegiance is to Portugal first and foremost. If I had to pick a second team to cheer for, I\'d go with Ghana. The teams I despise:

1. Brazil
2. England
3. Germany
4. Italy
5. Spain
6. Greece
7. France

so pretty much any team who plays any of them I\'ll cheer for 3rd.

its just the way it goes in the round robin part. it goes into a 30 minute overtime followed by penalty kicks in the elimination rounds, so it gets better.
