meanwhile i hope the Twins A\'s series goes the distance so the Lions vs. Vikings game moves to MOnday night and they broadcast it on ESPN. I mean who the hell wants to see those 4-0 Ravens anyways.  

MLB Playoff Predications:

Mets over Dodgers 3-1
Cardinals over Padres 3-2
A\'s over Twins 3-1 (but probably 3-0)
Tigers over Yankees 3-1

Divisional Series:

Mets over Cardinals 4-2
Tigers over A\'s 4-3

World Series:

Tigers over Mets 4-2

yes the Red Sox season is over and yes this is a thread for \'06 but I though this was interesting news anyway.

Though due to the high demand, I\'ll be in the \'other bleachers\'.  LEFT field.  My excitement for the playoffs in tempered by the thought of this.

Go ahead and say it. Due to least coast bias you may not be aware of our Pitching staff.

ERA 3.87  1st in NL
Opponent BA .249 1st in NL

Overall in the 15 catogories they use to figure this **** out The Pads staff is 1st or 2nd in 12 of the catagories.

The Yankees face the easiest postseason they have ever gone through.  I like them to take the Tigers in 3, the Twins in 6 (or A\'s in 5), and any AAAA (NL) team in 5.  That\'s 11-3, or 11-2 if they get the A\'s in the ALCS.  No way they lose more than 4 games.  This should be a breeze.

How about my 2nd team, those M-E-T-S METS METS METS!  omg Pedro goes down, El Duque goes down, and Trachsel leaves the team all in the last 3 days of the season.  Unreal.  The Mets just cruised to their first NL East title in like 15 years and no Met fan will show their face.  Not to mention that this had to happen in a year that features the worst pool of NL playoff teams in history.  The table was all set.  A healthy Mets club would sweep St. Louis, LA, and might not allow a Padre to safely reach third base at all.  There are some conductors on the 7 train to Flushing that won\'t be getting that OT money they thought they were!
