I would, but I\'m going to a concert tonight.
yeah, instead of viking Maude, I was originally going to do that for a costume for the FF... but up here in the Nation, I couldn\'t find an Arod jersey anywhere, and I didn\'t have time to order one off of the internet. But #13 with a skirt would have been a great costume. I hadn\'t thought of the purse though, even better.
yikes....
Filed- Varitek, Lowe, Kapler, Mirabelli, McCarty, Pokey Reese, Mike Myers, Scott Williamson, Ramiro Mendoza, Curtis Leskanic, Cabrera, Astacio, Terry Adams.
Haven\'t filed yet, but eligible and likely- Pedro. Also Gutierrez, if anyone cares.
Leskanic\'s option was declined...can\'t say I blame them since he\'s not any good. Still, he was the unsung hero of Game 4, getting out of an extra-inning jam when the Yankees were still in control of the series.
All in all, it\'s a good move.
Other than that I say,
KEEP: Varitek, Lowe, Mirabelli, Reese, Williamson, Mendoza, Cabrera
DUMP: Kapler, McCarty, Myers, Astacio, Adams, Gutierrez
Almost seems obvious who to keep and dump, but I figured
**** it, it\'s Hot Stove Season, proof that baseball never ends.
Is Gutierrez on the pitching staff?

Gutierrez is a light-hitting middle infielder
Agreed, although think maybe keep Kapler.
Some funny Kerry-isms about the Red Sox (I think his PR people need to give break down the basics for him), this comes from "Football Fans for Truth":
"Kerry told a radio interviewer that his favorite Red Sox player was Eddie Yost. Eddie Yost never played for the Sox."
"Kerry once praised \'Manny Ortez\' of the Red Sox. There\'s no Manny Ortez on the Sox lineup or indeed, any other MLB roster. Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz play for the Red Sox. Maybe all baseball players\' names sound alike to the Democrat nominee."
"When Kerry threw the first pitch at a Red Sox-Yankees game, he did not throw from the pitcher\'s mound yet still bounced the ball before it reached home plate. He then blamed his namby-pamby throw on the catcher, a National Guard soldier and Iraq war veteran: \'I held back,\' Kerry told reporters. \'He was very nervous. I tried to lob it gently.\' Conclusion: John Kerry throws a baseball worse than a girl."

I dunno about that excuse Drew, I drove up from 3-4:30am after the show and was at the parade at 10am sharp!

What about Pedro? (He sure would look good in blue and orange, wouldn\'t he?)
Absolutely not. I\'d like to see how the Mets would justify not signing Guerrero last offseason, who is in the midst of his prime, and go for Martinez, who is just past it.
Although I have an obvious weird feeling about it, the Mets decision to name Willie Randolph as their manager has my full endorsement
Pitch, I am torn by this move. IMHO, just another bonehead decision on the part of the Mets front office..... Why bring a Yankee legend into Queens? It is the worst idea since thinking that John Franco was still a quality reliever enough to ever bring him to the team....
