Evelyn and I were in attendance at Busch Stadium when Joaquin Andujar hit a grand slam! What a fun player he was!
And what is the greatest Andujar quote you might ask? It goes something like this:
"You have to drink beer while you are here on earth, because you don\'t know, there might not be any beer in heaven"
You know it\'s not your Series when you let Pedro battle back from an 0-2 count and force a walk. And an all-time showing on the mound too. And he has as many hits as Rolen does for the Series.
Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox for winning the 2004 World Series, marking their first Major League Baseball Championship since 1918 and their sixth overall. They were the best team and proved it.

this quote is a version of a old polka classic called "in heaven there is no beer". It was recorded by yankovinc (wiers al\'s dad) amongst others.
the chorus:
in heaven, there is no beer.
thats why we drink it here.
and when we\'re gone from here,
our friends will be drinking all the beer.

Try as he might, not even the witty ChrisPitch could reverse the reverse of the curse.
After last night\'s performance......ah forget it!
Of course, I don\'t literally believe in curses or superstitions (nor do I ask Santa Claus to bring me presents). But at this point, I have nothing left to say except those sort of false proclamations.
So again, here\'s to the World Series Champion Boston Red Stockings.
it\'s 11:40 pm EST. The Red Sox have just won the World Series. The first since 1918.
Congrats.
I\'m not thrilled about it, don\'t get me wrong, but they did work hard for it.
all the trash talk aside.......they left know questions or doubts about who the best team is this year.....history will never be quite the same .....they didnt benefit from one super lucky bounce or call....they took on the best teams in baseball and won eight straight games....foulke was better than i thought i he could be.....congrats sox fans and have fun.....you deserve it!
I still can\'t believe they won. I suppose I will attend the victory parade outside my building on Friday.
Congrats to the bosox. Here\'s to another 86 yr drought and I can not wait to hear the pathetic excuses fans come up w/ from here on when boston fields a team that blows chunks @ the end of the year seeing as how they can\'t use that curse B.S. anymore. Finally bosox fans will have to realize their team sux and can not blame a curse. They did have a pretty amazin\' 8 games enjoy it while u can bosox fans.......

You never quit, do you?
Though I do find it funny that for years the majority of Boston fans have always said that "there is no curse". Now that we can say "the curse is over", I haven\'t heard one Sox fan revert back to the ol\' "there is no curse" argument.
LOL nah not w/ Sports it\'s just too much fun, ya know?
