Don\'t look now, but the Rays are on a six-game skid, giving the Red Sox a chance to claim first place at the All-Star Break.
I\'m still rooting for the Rays to take the Wild Card, but it\'s definitely a relief that they\'re no longer running away with the division.

The D-Backs pitching is ridiculous, but the Red Sox pitching of recent years always steps up in big games. Also, I don\'t want the karma of picking against the Sox hanging over my head.
So no particularly bold predictions in the end (except maybe NL Cy Young and RoY), but it will interesting to see how they look in October.

Big Pelf is becoming the Ace we was projected to be. Really love watching him pitch these days. The way he attacks the hitters and pounds the bottom of the strike zone batter after batter with all the movement on his pitches is just really fun to watch. Especially tonight with the home crowd really getting behind him. good good stuff.

Speaking of tonight\'s game, Jon Miller (ESPN) should never be allowed to pronounce Hispanic last names. I suppose he is just trying to be accurate and culturally diverse or whatever, but he is often wrong when he does so, and it makes him sound even more like an old, white dude than usual.
Ugg don\'t get me started man...the fox morons yesterday and these goons today. Maybe I have high standards because Gary Keith and Ron are great but the the amount of actual analytical breakdown of the game these network guys put forth is absolutely pathetic. Keith Gary and Ron put forth more actual analytical commentary of whats happening in one half inning than these morons do in an entire game! Literally! And GKR\'s color commentary is 100000x better and funnier and more interesting also. yea these guys are just totally bleh. better off just listening to tunes because they really don\'t say anything worth hearing for the entire 3.5 hours.

Pappelbon has a lot of balls thinking that he should be the closer tonight. That being said, I won\'t know whether he did or didn\'t until I watch SC tomorrow. Screw the 8:00 start; who will actually stay up past minute to watch an all star game. Move it back to a saturday afternoon, the way it should be.

That was so fun to watch, especially with his adorable pitcher who was 70-something years old. Hamilton\'s story is a pretty inspirational one.

He is an athlete who almost pissed away a promising career in professional sports for drugs. How is that inspirational? I\'d call it fortunate. Try not blowing all your money on hard drugs in the first place while wasting away years of your life. If he was just an average person and wasn\'t involved with professional sports he would have become just another statistic. I\'ll tip my hat to him for coming back to the MLB after being in such a hole for so long but the only way that is going to \'inspire\' me is to stay the

What\'s inspirational is the fact that he is busting his ass now to try and prevent others from doing the same thing he did. He does an incredible amount of charity work, and he does a lot to raise awareness and help others in bad situations.
When someone
**** up, and then turns their life around and tries to help other people, I think that is something inspirational. We have all made mistakes, and to recover from one and then try to help other people is something worthy of respect.
