I am definitely not a fan of the resurgence of the phrase "Beat L.A." amongst Red Sox fans.

Massacre Boston is my phrase for the first week of the playoffs.

I\'m going to hang out with some Red Sox fans tonight.

Mission=annoy and make them cry

Hamels and the Phillies take game 1 versus the Brewers. I don\'t think any of these games go past 5.

My faith is renewed, what a well played game from both ends.  Great pitchers battle, till the end of the game.  Lester looked phenomenal as he has all season.

Let\'s go Sox!!!

100% agree.

Also, "Beat LA" has to be the worst chant ever.

Dodgers looked good yesterday.

Did anyone else witness Manny running an infield grounder out and getting to the bag safely?

that is the 2nd Dodger game I watched this year where Manny was running down the first baseline compared to the Boston Strut.

The first time I saw Manny try was after laying down a bunt and running it out.

He has worked well in LA.

it\'s unfortunate that he became such a lazy player that the sox were forced to get rid of him while still paying his salary for the rest of this year

I think last night couldn\'t have illustrated the Manny-Bay trade being win-win for all parties any better.

That being said I refuse to talk about anything else playoffs. I will go continue to craft my noose.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

The pitching matchups for the first three games of the Cubs/Dodgers series:

Dempster vs. Lowe
Zambrano vs. Billingsley
Harden vs. Kuroda

The Cubs aren\'t a lock by any means, but I don\'t know how anyone could pick the Dodgers given that information alone.
BUMP... just in case anybody was wondering why I still work in collegiate volleyball instead of working for Baseball Tonight.
