Best...series...EVER.
I love the Bulls, always have. It\'s nice to see some serious play out of a team that nearly died with Jordan. Finally a resurrection I actually believe in.
I think Boston wins Game 7, but in another thriller, possibly some blood shed involved. Point is I don\'t care all that much if they lose. Well, I do, but they\'ve given us some serious hope for the future already and more post-season entertainment in one series than I\'ve had in the past decade. They definitely have a shot at beating Orlando (if they pull it out), but the Cavs will absolutely drop the hammer come ECFs.
So while I\'d love to see them get another series under their experience belt, I really don\'t think it will matter that much. This series, win or lose, will be enough to build on. And I can\'t wait to see D-Rose improve exponentially every season for the next 5 years.
It\'s crazy how much better the NBA has gotten in the past 5 years too. Just a stockpile of superstars and top-shelf matchups nightly. Yoda--the NBA is FAR from boring these days. I\'d argue it has surpassed the entertainment level of the 80\'s/early-90\'s, or is at least on level.
When both teams in a game start consistently scoring over 110 points I\'ll say you have the beginnings of an argument.
The defensively minded game that has been around for the past decade is the reason the NBA lost so many fans. When teams are consistently shooting under 50% the entertainment value plummets.
Now that there are some actual scorers in the NBA again things are looking up.
i blame pat riley\'s knicks
Don\'t knock the 80s/90s knicks. that was my team. Ewing, Starks hitting bricks....man, takes me back to middle school/high school years. God, how that team disappointed me.
They\'ll take game 7, but I doubt they\'ll get much further than that.
i think they can beat the magic. it took them 6 games to beat philly. and i think chicago might actually be good. no way they\'re beating the cavs though
I agree, they\'ll beat the magic. However, i think if the Cavs beat them, they\'ll go out fighting. They\'ll get hungrier the further they go......
well, first the celts have to win tonight
Totally. What they need to do is get more points than the other team.

exactly.
its too bad john madden retired
It\'s Monday morning, and nobody has commented about Saturday\'s Game 7? Where\'s all of the Celtic pride?
You know it was a great series when a Game 7 that was a three-point game midway through the fourth quarter is considered anticlimactic. The Bulls turned into a bunch of gunners once they got down by double digits, and while you\'re not going to take the Celtics to a Game 7 without a few lucky shots, you can\'t count on a whole quarter\'s worth of them. Meanwhile, the quintessential gunner, Eddie House, had the game of his life.
And by the way, shame on all of us for actually buying the media hype that the Celtics are done without Kevin Garnett, even though they have two Hall of Famers and the best point guard in the NBA on the court. Of course, Joakim Noah isn\'t Dwight Howard, but don\'t sleep on the C-Words in round two.
And by the way, if you told me at the beginning of the season that Stefan Marbury (possibly the worst player in the NBA) and John Salmons (possibly the worst starter in the NBA) would be on the court in the fourth quarter of a Game 7, I would guess that the final score of that game would be somewhere around 110-65.
kingsley, I was just thinking about you the other day. where the hell you been the last few months? still working with the volleyball team?
Stefan Marbury (possibly the worst player in the NBA) .
Marbury has been worthless for the Celtics.
Some other notes:
Noah looks/acts like a ghetto rat. I hate those angry-dopey faces Perkins makes. Big Baby is a big chunk of meat, weird to see someone that thick running up and down court all game (though he has been getting the job done quite well all series long). Ben Gordon looks like a total prick - I hate hearing guys like that getting interviewed. Rondo has been a scrappy little prick; surprising because he looks like an innocent teenager out there.

All the celtic fans are quiet because their team ESCAPED from the first round and did not look like the Championship team they\'re supposed to be.
The media hype was spot on Drew. The Bulls took them to 7 games AND an NBA Playoff record 4 games to OT(one being 2 OT and another 3 OT). Of course the celts were supposed to win in the first round even w/o KG they were the 2nd seed in the East.
However they were not supposed to have to go through that and the celts are an old team.
The celtics are done.
BTW Congrats to Lebron James as he won the MVP.

I\'m pretty sure this is a:

lebron is the man.
Leith: Lakers vs. Cavs - who\'s gonna win?
oh how funny it would be if neither of them made it to the finals

Hey, Leith, your lakers aren\'t in the finals, yet.....remember that....

I wasn\'t quiet, just busy this weekend. We didn\'t get to watch the game on Saturday , but we were keeping track of scores at our after shower bonfire....it definitely was a perfect addition to an awesome day for me.

oh how funny it would be if neither of them made it to the finals
We\'d be hearing crickets in this thread then...
