Allow me to welcome the Yankees to the ranks of the teams that blew it when it mattered the most. There. That\'s better.
I really hope Torre doesn\'t lose his job. The Boss needs to realize, and stop (for the love of God), spending money on overrated players. This isn\'t Torre\'s fault, and only getting rid of him will make things even worse. Apparently, everyone on the team doesn\'t want him to leave, and A-Rod even said that their failure in the post season wasn\'t Torre\'s fault.
There\'s only so much a coach can do. After that it\'s up to the over-paid players to earn a living.

The guy gave them four rings in five years. I think you should give him the benefit of the doubt, and let go Jorge "I\'m 72 years old, part manager/catcher" Posada.
I say that if Torre goes, then Cashman has go to considering the amount of bust pitchers he\'s signed in the last five years.
I also see no way that the Yankees cannot bring back A-Rod considering the year he had.

i.e. 21931283128 million dollars for Roger Clemens.
Absolutely. And don\'t forget Igawa, Wright, Karsay, Farnsworth, Pavano, and even Mussina.

I heard A-rod was looking for a team that he could get part ownership in. Is there truth to that rumor? If so, i\'d say the yankees will probably be saying goodbye to mr. chOketober.
I believe I read an ESPN article that interviewed Cashman earlier in the season that stated, if A-Rod was to option out that the Yankees would have no offer and that they wouldn\'t want him back. The future of A-Rod in New York is completely in his control. Lets see if he really wants to stay in NY.

The Cubs are the team it is rumored with. Supposedly Bud Selig has approved the plan for a player/owner.
I don\'t believe it is feasible because of the rules in MLB. And think that it was nothing more than getting A-Rods name out there by his agent Boras to try to increase his market value.

Jeter choked more than A-Rod, and I didn\'t know one guy could win a series. Face it, it wasn\'t A-Rod that lost this series, it was the whole team.
Ahhh...the Yankee postseason finger-pointing and breakup banter begins. I\'m sitting this one out boys, I have bigger fish to fry this week. Quite frankly, I just don\'t care. Torre, A-Rod, Posada, Mariano, take-em, leave-em, I really couldn\'t care less. Have fun. And remember that the Curse of A-Rod is in full effect until the year 2086! Sorry Yankees, you had your century and this ain\'t it. Much better to be a Yankee fan 60 or over right now than a a Yankee fan under 35, cause the best days are way in the past.
things get so ugly so quickly
Wolf - do you really think that it will be another 79 years before the Yankees win the World Series? I don\'t believe that will happen. In the 104 years since the first world series, the Yankees have been in the series 39 times (37.5%) and won 26 times (25%). The largest gap for the Yankees to not have won a series is 20 years and that was 1903 (1st years of the series to 1923) and the most recent is 18 years (1978 to 1996). Do I think the Yanks will win anothe 26 championships in the next 104 years, not, but I hardly doubt that it will take them another 79 years to win again.
GO INDIANS!!!!
You love using that picture don\'t you. It\'s such a great representation of me.
The bottom line for me is that I don\'t need them to constantly win to be a fan. We\'ve had a good run recently and we\'ve had bad runs in the past. All I know is that it won\'t be 79 years before we have another good run.
