I mean, what are we waiting for? My team just foolishly announced that Brady Quinn will not start the regular-season opener and that\'s motivation enough for me to get the pigskin rolling. So, let\'s fire away.

i was personally waiting for my fantasy drafts to be over...that\'s when i know it\'s on.  but since you got the ball rolling, i have to say that i\'m overly optimistic about my 49ers this year.  not only did we make huge strides last year compared to 2005 (including a hyuuge win over denver in week 17), but we had arguably the best off-season in the nfl. my prediction: 10-6 and we\'re taking the division title back to san fran where it belongs

on a personal note, i would be ecstatic if i could attend my first nfl game this year... and i\'ve got a couple chances (49ers @ giants, 49ers @ arizona).  i would be superecstatic if i decided to catch the game in arizona (sunday after thanksgiving) and the breakfast happened to playing out there.  i would be uberecstatic if i went out to arizona for the super bowl to catch my niners and the breakfast that weekend

as for your browns, pitch...i don\'t like your odds.  the other teams in the north are pretty good (they\'ll be lucky to go 1-5 against them), your running back is jamal lewis\'s corpse, and your three qbs are charlie frye, derek anderson, and a rookie who missed all of training camp.  like you said, there\'s a reason they\'re called the browns

What? 1-5 against the AFC North? You mean, an actual win in the division? Sign me up.

P.S.: Niners at Browns, Week 17

repeat is going to be extremely tough, especially having to come out of the AFC.

afc east - patriots (bye)
afc north - baltimore (bye)
afc south - colts
afc west - broncos
wc1 - chargers
wc2 - bengals

nfc east - eagles
nfc north - bears (bye)
nfc south - saints (bye)
nfc west - rams
wc1 - seahawks
wc2 - 49ers

afc championship - colts over chargers
nfc championship - eagles over bears

superbowl - colts over eagles

Holy ****. I\'m not even kidding when I say that Colts over Eagles was my preliminary Super Bowl prediction. I mean, even though I feel New England and San Diego are better than Indy on paper, that pick was my gut feeling. Funny that you have the same one. I still may change in the next week though.

since the season has not truly begun, i will say that the redskins are super bowl bound.

(as a skins fan, i get to say this right up until kick off of game one. then i just have to hide and take whatever unruly bashing comes my way.)

The season gets underway tonight with the Colts and Saints. Should be a great season in the NFL. Would like to see Bush have a great game but the AFC and the Colts might be too powerful for the NFC.

I\'d like to see the 49ers do something this year. Have some young talent in the right places.

Pretty much my guess, except my tie breaker is 31-27 Colts.

it wasn\'t even a game. besides that strip/defensive TD the saints were a joke. to any doubters, the colts weren\'t a fluke. the pats and chargers better be scared. GO COLTS!
