Wow. Well that was one of the most intense football games you\'ll ever see. Congrats to the Colts. You finally got us. Now I know how Yankee fans felt in 2004. It\'s the same exact scenario; another playoff against a team you built a dynasty on owning...you\'ve got them dead to rights again...and somehow everything goes right for them all at once and they finally pull one out. It sucks to lose but I just can\'t get that upset with all these titles burning a hole in my pocket. Heck, as soon as the game ended my buddies and I went and watched an hour of Angry Nintendo Nerd videos on youtube, laughed our asses off, and had already moved on. In fact, it\'s kinda cute that the Colts finally got one, I have to admit. I don\'t even hate them for it. Yankee fans were stunningly nice to us when the Sox won in 2004, and now as a Pats fan I feel the same way towards the Colts. The Colts have a highly talented, respectable team that deserves some success in this era. Enjoy the title.
i think it\'s funny that belichick has to coach all the chargers players in the probowl. it\'ll be interesting to see if the chargers players are still whining about it 4 weeks after the fact.

It\'s highly likely that 15 years or so from now, when Peyton Manning is at the Hall of Fame podium, this is the game that will be in the forefront of everyone\'s mind; the turning point that raised his career from all-time great to all-time elite status. Tremendous courage leading the Colts back, down 18, with some help from a steady running game, his two tight ends, and a defense, that although torched throughout, held the Patriots to a pair of field goals when they needed to. Of course, it\'s mostly null-and-void if Manning throws four picks and loses the Super Bowl, but I doubt that will happen. Colts 31, Bears 17.
As far as the Patriots, the bottom line is they blew a 21-3 lead to a quarterback they had previously owned in the playoffs and squandered their chance at making football history by being only the second team ever to win four Super Bowls in six years. I would love an explanation of why Belichick opted to run on 3rd-and-10 from Indy\'s 29 with 4:29 left and the game tied. I don\'t see how he could have possibly thought a field goal would hold up the way his defense had been battered in the second half. A questionable decision, though it still could have worked had the Patriots ran out the clock a little later, but again, Belichick baffled me by passing on 3rd-and-4 with a three-point lead and 2:30 to play. I mean, one more first down virtually kills the Colts\' chances and I just didn\'t understand why he didn\'t challenge the NFL\'s worst-rated rushing defense with the game, and ultimately, the season on the line. If somone can come up with a worse loss in franchise history, I\'m all ears.

c\'mon folks, you\'re missing the big picture here. this is the first time a black coach has made the super bowl, and a double at that, which logic will tell us that a black coach will be winning the superbowl for the first time this year. screw peyton getting the pats monkey off his back, and finally winning a meaningful game, that\'s not what\'s important here!

nicely done chris! that was a very good game yesterday. all the turnovers were due to shitty conditions but the officials were all over every call and didnt make any mistakes, though they said harrison was in then someone overturned it but the challenge corrected that mistake. not many penalties either. what a weekend. 3 night run of shows and colts finally get their superbowl win!! on top of it all i went 11 for 11 in playoff picks. life is good.

it has become clear that connecticut is no longer a part of new england. the term "new england" is little more than a geographical curiosity at this point. it will likely never change unless there is a serious disruption in the universe.
tell you what. if we can arrange to produce a top notch football team of conneticut\'s own, say, in new haven, would the residents be willing to propose secessation in a serious political forum. citing connecicut\'s outgrowth of the folk art, textile mill, cottage industry being that is the rest of new england, (VT, NH, ME, RI). perhaps conneticnut should be seen as a sister to new york. a rich one that steals your meds out of your medecine cabinet when you have a party and always seems to get out of dinner without leaving a proper tip. you may or may not have a chihuahua in a little tote bag too. that you feed steak tips to during dinner. maybe even sneaking the aforementioned tips, (steak, not gratuity..actually, the gratuity too), off of your brother\'s plate when he goes to the bathroom.

a really excessive football team in new haven could win the super bowl in five years. it would also create a nationally recognized landmark for conneticut, in the general football ranting that usually goes on.

i\'m not sure what was more boring the commercials or the second half. and have you ever seen a team be LESS excited about winning the superbowl?! Especially peyton after waiting 9 years + his whole life. Show a little emotion for cryin out loud!
