Just got home from atttending Celtics-Spurs and was at Celts-Clips on Wednesday. The Celtics, without their two biggest players (Garnett and Perkins, no to mention 7-foot Scott Pollard who was also out), just beat defending champs Duncan and San Antonio and never trailed in the second half. The "superior" Western Conference is now an impressive (are you sitting down?) 0-16 against the Celtics. Most notably, of course, the Lakers at 0-2. I told you these Western teams would have to prove themselves against Boston. Not one of them has pulled out even one win. Big Baby Davis and Leon Powe (our scrub forwards) held Duncan down while Pierce lit up the scoring end.

So, if the Celtics have the best record in the East...and nobody in the West can beat them for even one game...it looks like we\'re headed to banner #17! Not a moment too soon either; now that the Patriots lost, I\'ve been waiting a whole 4 months for a championship around here!

You\'re going to have to keep waiting on that. You of all people should know it\'s not what you do in the regular season. No matter what the sport.

The Western Conference representative will have a much tougher road through the playoffs that the Celtics, but don\'t forget that the C\'s have to get past Detroit, which is not a given, to even get a crack at the West in June.

everyone seems to be forgetting about orlando. yes they are young and inexpirienced, but anything can happen with a dominant big man like d howard. i would never have picked cleveland to beat detroit last year

16-0 against the West is pretty incredible. Considering the East only has 5 teams above .500 while the West has 10 makes it even more impressive.

Poor Bullets...they\'re on a 7 game losing streak but that\'ll end tonight at Golden State.

Lakers just beat Phoenix to take the season series/tiebreaker and took a share of first in the Pacific and the # 2 seed in the Conference.
Shaq looked better than I thought he would but he is not going to make enough of a difference for the Suns.

Kobe had his 90th 40+ point game(with a broken pinkie even) showing just how dangerous he can be while still playing within the Lakers gameplan.
Pau is just awesome and I think even w/o Bynum they can go very far and with Bynum the Lakers are just too much for any team East or West.

10 teams over .500 in the West. 5 in the East.

Boston just lost to a team that is currently out of the playoffs in Golden State and last night lost to Denver who are the tenuous 8th seed.

The West is the Superior Conference. There is no doubt.

I\'m not a Celtics fan, but aren\'t they still 44-12 and on a 3 game winning streak? You asked where they (the fans) are at and I\'m pretty sure they are at the top of the East still. Technically, they are still looking down at the rest of the NBA. Emotionally, you\'re absolutely right, not so much.

And yes, I know leith, you are sitting on top of a much superior West. It\'s impressive, really. Gasol is huge. I don\'t know if they\'re going to slow down much. Enjoy it, lucky bastard. It\'s crazy ****.

Dude it is incredible to be a Laker fan this season.
Everything is falling into place. I mean Shaq even came back out West!
It is going to be so sweet to watch the Lakers knock that **** out of the playoffs.
They still do not have Bynum, Ariza, or Mihm, Kobe\'s got a busted pinkie and they are still laying it out!

I was really hoping I was wrong about the celts because I want a celtic/Laker Final like nothing else but they are just not going to make it relying on the "big 3".
It is very obvious and becoming more each game how weak they are in the post and they have no bench to speak of.

I have been saying since around game 10 to most of my Laker fan friends to keep an eye on Farmar this year and I was laughed at. Yeah most of them hate UCLA and anyone that comes out of there but you cannot argue with results.

Sasha has been on fire the more faith Phil puts in him. Pretty much the only player that is regressing at all is Luke Walton.

The Laker bench can beat a few eastern teams starters I\'m pretty sure.

52 for Kobe in an overtime win versus Dallas the other night. At Sacramento tonight. Still tied for the top seed, though a game back in the loss column.

That was a great game on Sunday. Kobe 3-10 from the line at one point in the third, what\'d he finish? Like 18-25 or something. Everything was money in OT. He completely took over.

That was the first Laker game I watched closely this year. They\'re definitely solid, but I was so **** annoyed with Vujacic. I cringed every time he had the ball. I assume it was an off day? Either way his demeanor on the court was like chewing tinfoil for me.

Pretty impressive run by the Rockets. Wonder how they will fare against the Bobcats, Lakers and Celtics over the next 3 games.

Dikembe gave our graduation speech at SUNY Cortland. I was one of the first ones in line so when I went to the stage I shook his hand and gave him the finger wag. He laughed but I think he was even more impressed when I showed him the #55 Nuggets jersey I had on underneath my gown.

Celts are playing their second road game in two nights. Ray Allen is out. They just beat defending champ Spurs in San Antonio last night and now are in Houston facing the Rockets and their 22 game winning streak. The Rockets have killed everyone for the last 6 weeks, including, of course, the Lakers.

Result? 10 minutes remaining, Celtics by a mere 21. TWENTY ONE. They are smoking the Rockets, in Houston, to end the streak. The Celtics are awesome, and your team sucks. That\'s all there is to it.
