There is a diff. in olympic wrestling and TV wrestling but even TV wrestling can be a sport.There is a reason they PRACTICE. Try throwing a person twice your weight safely or even throwing someone that weighs less than you safely. There are moves that need to be practiced to avoid injury. The strength and stamina required of wrestlers is immense. Fake or not there is chance for injury and you need to practice and train to be a wrestler,these same things you need to do in other sports.
I feel that all of this puts it more in the category of physical performance. I think that it is closer to acrobatics at the circus or dancers at the ballet. Performers compete with each other for star status but within the performance there is no competition since the winner has already been chosen.
