2008 was a tough year for me. Both my teams got off to terrible starts. I was ready to give up on them. Then all of a sudden they went on amazing runs...THey both got my hopes up and gave me visions of serious postseason play!!! Then unexplicably...they choke...in unbelievable ways. UCONN loses to the University of San Diego. THe Mets bullpen implodes...they had a 3.5 game lead with 17 to go and CHOKE again (just like last year). Who do they lose to? A team that hasn\'t made the playoffs since 1982 and who fired their manager a week ago.

I\'m not looking for sympathy, just understanding. 2008 has been a tough year for me...

2008 has been a crazy year for sports.

It is becoming a tradition for the Mets to implode during the waning weeks of the season.

UConn will be much much better this year.

As for the Mets, it seems like they may be cursed.....
