Finally Kobe has signed and over the last week more and more of the Fatman\'s B.S. has come to light. The Lakers had to get rid of the egobag as an agreement had been reached that if no contract agreement could be made in season then in the off-season a trade would be made. Yet again Basketball ignorance shown. The Lakers are not done wheeling and dealing. Kobe will have help and his Leadership will be shown. The fact is that if the Spurs are considered title contenders because of Duncan, and the Timberwolves are considered such because they have KG, then the Lakers have to be considered an NBA Championship contender due to the presence of Kobe Bryant, one of the league\'s elite players. Add in Odom, the next Jordan, and it\'s clear that the Lakers are on the verge of a second era of dominance. I would have loved for Shaq and Fisher to retire as Lakers, but neither are worth their current price tags. On it goes.
Of course, the Lakers haven\'t has as good an offseason as the Celtics, whose 6-year, 41-million deal with Marc Blount is sure to place another banner right up there, along side the last one they won, which was back in 1986. Quite a year for Boston fans.
