Oh good all the red sox fans have something to smile about...
1 out of 3 ain\'t bad...when you are shooting foul shots.

Congratulations to all the Red Sox, breakfastsox fans, whatever you call yourselves
2004 is over, so is the reign of UCONN basketball and the Red Sox
so stop waving your championship around
SEE you in the fall!!!
Ha ha ha

PS. it is great that the red sox won, I\'ll admit it, but it won\'t happen for a while now, so you better put your sox gear in a trunk with moth balls and pull out the pin stipes baby!!!
HA HA HA HA

Am I offending anyone???
Sorry sorry sorry....

April 8, 2005 - Yankees Beat Red Sox Among Connecticut Fans, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; But Most Fans Want Boston To Win World Series

By a 43 - 35 percent margin Connecticut baseball fans prefer the New York Yankees over the Boston Red Sox, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Nine percent say they are New York Mets fans. But fans say 54 - 41 percent that they would like to see the Red Sox repeat as World Series Champions this year, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds. While they want to see Boston repeat, only 20 percent of Connecticut fans believe the Red Sox can do it. "Most Connecticut baseball fans would like to see the Red Sox win another World Series, but they still remember the curse," said Quinnipiac University Poll Director Douglas Schwartz, Ph.D.

From March 29 to April 4, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,541 Connecticut registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points. The survey includes 909 baseball fans, with a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percent.

The Quinnipiac University Poll conducts public opinion surveys in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida and the nation as a public service and for research.

Okay, not saying this applies to any Red Sox fans on this board (although it might), but as a majority, have some friggin class! And don\'t call it pride either, because it isn\'t. I just got back from the Providence Bruins game. I was sitting two rows from the glass, with my Yankees hat on backwards. Half way through the 3rd period what do I hear? "Let\'s go Red Sox, Lets go Red Sox," which was fine, I understand the game was on out in the hallways. But no more than 30 seconds later apparantley someone caught glimpse of my cap or even worse, didn\'t, and a good 15 people start chanting "Yankees suck!, Yankees suck!." AT A PROVIDENCE BRUINS GAME! AN ICE HOCKEY GAME!!! C\'mon people!

Sorry if this sounds harsh, I am a little bitter about it.

86 Reasons to Hate The Sox. . .

By all means not a Yankees praise either.

My personal favorites:

5. Curt Schilling\'s bloody sock. Hockey players mock this.
8. Carlton Fisk\'s home run. Here\'s the deal: YOU LOST GAME 7.
22. "Yankees suck" chants. It\'s pathetic, lame, embarrassing and not funny. Give it up.
23. "Yankees suck" T-shirts. Even more pathetic, lame and embarrassing.
36. All the bandwagon fans. As recently as 1998, the Red Sox ranked just ninth out of 14 teams in the American League in attendance.
37. That time Manny Ramirez played left field with a water bottle in his back pocket. (I actually thought that was pretty hilarious)
81. The reverence given former owner Tom Yawkey. Geez, maybe he\'d have won a World Series if he had considered signing Jackie Robinson or Willie Mays.
86. . . .How \'bout the other Sox? They haven\'t won since 1917. When\'s the last time somebody made a documentary on their fans?

Red Sox 2004 World Series Champs:

"It\'s how they won, is what bothers me."
-"Won 4 in a row"

What are the statistical odds?
1 in 86 years...versus our ratio which is..well overwhelming compared to that. :)
