Hayensworth to Washington for $100 million.

Typical Skins move.  I smell another disaster.

Buckhalter will get 1,200 yds in Denver

YOu don\'t have to worry about that because they also signed DeAngelo Hall to a $55 million deal with $20 million guarnteed.  Sure thing, right?

Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel to the Chiefs for a second-round pick? I never doubt the Patriots\' personnel moves, but I don\'t really see the logic in this. It feels like a lot to give up for second-rounder, especially when Tom Brady hasn\'t played a single down since having his knee torn apart (by the Chiefs, ironically enough).

What most interests me now is what the Chiefs, considered pretty much a lock to take Matthew Stafford or Mark Sanchez, will do with the third overall pick in the draft. Pretty much any position other than quarterback could use an upgrade in Kansas City.

Can anyone explain the Chris Canty signing to me?  Are they concerned Osi might not be 100% back?  The way I see it 2 of their best 10 players are DE\'s (Osi and Tuck) plus, Kiwanuka. I think their money would have been better spent else where.

I trust Jerry Reese, but Canty never really impressed me with Dallas.

- I think I get it now.  They plan to use him as a hybrid DE/DT in the same way they used Tuck.

So who takes TO?

Seeing as the Jets just lost a whiny, selfish, washed up star they seem a likely destination.

Although if Plax is in prison the Giants may take stab.

Al Davis is always in the mix....

That is a good question. He should definitely land somewhere but the risk of taking him seems almost like it isn\'t worth the trouble.

Raiders could definitely benefit from him.

Wonder if he will end up with a team from the south.

The 49ers have reportedly agreed to a new two-year deal with QB Alex Smith.

The details aren\'t yet available, but it\'s expected to be for typical backup quarterback money at around $2-$3 million per season. Though Smith will be given the courtesy of "battling" Shaun Hill for the starter\'s job, Hill has the upper hand -- and a much better track record.

it\'s unfortunate that smith\'s career has taken the route that it has. he\'s had a different offensive coordinator in every year of his career and the one year that he had a competent coordinator and was 100% (2006 - his first year as full time starter), he played ok (58%, 16 td, 16 int, 75 qb rating). i think he\'s got the brains for the position, but he\'s not good enough to bring up the entire team. he hasn\'t had one legit #1 WR and the O line has been shaky for years.  he still had a decent upside, but he has to have talent around him for that upside to be realized.  i\'m ok with the signing. the fact that they haven\'t let him go speaks to his potential
