The jump ball was one of the worst calls in NBA history.

Kobe\'s OT buzzer-beater was one of the most clutch shots in NBA history.

OH BABY!

Two stories from the Associated Press this afternoon. Pretty funny.

After hitting shots Sunday afternoon that put the game into overtime and then beat the Phoenix Suns at the buzzer, Kobe Bryant went to the hospital, where his wife, Vanessa, gave birth to their second child -- a girl named Gianna, who was born at 2:03 a.m. Monday. She was 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Bryant and his wife also have another daughter, Natalia, who turned 3 in January.

and

Heat center Shaquille O\'Neal is a father for the sixth time. He and his wife, Shaunie, welcomed a new daughter. Mearah Sanaa O\'Neal was born just before 5 a.m. Monday morning. It\'s the third girl for the O\'Neals, with Mearah joining sisters Taahirah and Amirah and brothers Myles, Shareef and Shaqir.

Similar days for two Hall of Famers. Well, off the court anyway.

For my next act, I will make Kobe Bryant disappear in the second half of a game 7!

I\'m putting this picture here to make Laker fans feel better.  I know blowing a 3-1 series lead really sucks, but hey, it\'s nowhere near as bad as what the Yankees did!

You\'re right. That does make me feel better, especially since the Lakers collapse didn\'t come against the team that set the standard for postseason ineptitude. Good analysis.

Indeed, the Yankee collapse is, in every way, the worst collapse ever in sports and one of the great falls from grace in all of modern history.

All the Lakers did was blow a 3-1 series lead.  No biggie.  **** happens sometimes.  Get \'em next year.

Congrats to Riles and The Heat.
Dwayne Wade was the man in this series and Alonzo Mourning was the best center on The Heat. Congrats to Shaq to finding a team that could use his fatness to block the lane.
With a transplanted kidney Alonzo outplayed that fat sack of ego for the whole world to see(if they bothered watching this series).

I learned two things watching this series:

1. Wade was easily the best player on the floor

2. Nowitski is vastly overrated

Congratulations Heat

wade is unfuckingbelievable always has been since i saw him come into the league.  hes got a lot of respect for the game and all of its past superstars, unlike Leith\'s lil **** Kobe who has always claimed to be the best, but got owned by the nailclippers this year.  Shaq was okay in my eyes? whats your beef with big daddy, did he ignore your fan mail or something dude?

Can you show me ANY verified quote by Kobe in which he claims to be the best?

I\'ll bet you whatever you want that you cannot do so.

As for the Clips the season series was tied and both teams got sent home by the Suns.

As for the fatman read the new book The Show by Roland Lazenby. It is a must read for anyone that takes sides in the Kobe/Shaq debacle. Both sides were to blame but in the end it is SHAQ that LEFT the team not Kobe. It is SHAQ that was desrespectful to Jerry Buss not Kobe. It is SHAQ that got fat not Kobe. It is SHAQ that purposely divided the team not Kobe. It is SHAQ that spat on the Laker Legacy not Kobe.

As for the present Shaq could not make his free throws had a horrible FG%  and basically just became a tree in the lane for Wade to just drive like crazy.
Mourning was the best center in this series.

I think Shaq\'s commitment to continuing education is admirable, especially when education means so little to many of the of the NBA\'s rotten homeboys.  Graduating with an MBA, along with his desire to pursue additional business credentials, is certainly commendable.
