Chris DeAngelis will make his debut with The Breakfast this Friday, January 11 at Sully\'s in Hartford, CT, followed by a residency at Daniel Street Music Hall in Milford, CT in February. DeAngelis, a CT native has spent time with VT\'s Turkey Bouillon Mafia and shared the stage with members of P-Funk, DBB\'s Eric Kalb, Dave Grippo (TAB), Fred Hersch, Chris Parker, and others. The Breakfast\'s other recent addition - Matt Ostreicher, on keyboards - had this to say: “We\'re very excited to have found someone like Chris. It feels like an omen of sorts. Chris is an outstanding bass player! I’ve heard him play everything from Bossa Nova, to Hip-Hop, to straight up Rock. His abilities as a soloist and as a songwriter will also be beautiful additions to the energy of this band." DeAngelis adds, "When I was first asked to join this band I immediately knew the answer. I’ve always strived to find a group of musicians with as much ability and passion as these guys. I felt very comfortable right away, so I can only imagine what great things will come out of this experience.”
The band has scheduled a series of northeast events to initiate Chris into the Breakfast fold and will resume a national touring schedule this summer.

yeah but who knows if he was aware that the breakfast were playing when thy did. that whole fest was a big clusterfock. the b-fast pulled up and had no idea where or when htey were playing. then in all of about 20 minutes they decided to utilize another bands gear partially and start playing. thankfully i only missed about 3 minutes of it after runniong back to the car/tent to refill on booze.
wait, so it says hes palying the sullys show, followed by the "residency" at daniel st in feb...does this mean hes NOT playing at the daniel st show on the 26th of jan?
I\'m sure he is, they can\'t list every show and that residency is a major spot they have, also this gives some more publicity for the residency shows
Have no fear.
The band has been practicing, writing new songs. The future is the only place to look. Don\'t be surprised if you never hear a few Breakfast tunes for a long time as they concentrate on writing new material.
Give Chris a few shows and he will make all the songs his bass.
Good guy, custom built bass and ready to get on board.
